[QUOTE="themajormayor"][QUOTE="parkurtommo"] Dark Souls has more gameplay, more weapons/armor, more characters, more classes, more variety. The variety was a huge difference, Demon's Souls was gray, green, and brown, where as Dark Souls is orange, green, blue, black, red, brown, eveything.parkurtommo
More...gameplay??
And even though you are not even correct in all you say (there are an equal amount of classes for example) all these are really small insignificant improvements. Demon's Souls already had lots of weapons and armors. Sure a few more doesn't hurt but it's nothing that matter much at all. Did anyone ever play Demon's Souls and think "oh no, not enough weapons". I got far from every weapon in the gam and I had quiete a few.
They are improvements yes, but small, insignificant and SHALLOW improvements, that can't compensate for every downgrade that happened!
This isn't super mario. It's suppose to be dark and gloomy with this post-apocalyptic feel. All this was missing in Dark Souls.
It has huge balancing issues. For example the ice guys in Duke's Archive giving you 150 souls but the easiest guy's in the Undead Asylum gives you 200!
Also bad bonfire placement in many cases.
Also my biggest problem with Demon's Souls only got WORSE! The FPS was worse and the lock on was worse!
But the biggest problem of all and what was probably the cause of all these problems is that they only focused on being HARD! Hard for the sake of being hard. Because that was what Demon's Souls was famous for. So they completely lost focus on everything that was imporatant and only focused on being as hard as possible! Now they failed cause it's not hard. But it lead to alot of unfairness! Demon's Souls was strict but fair. But this is NOT fair in many cases. Alot of cheapness. Sometimes even broken "hard".
I thought there weren't enough weapons... The only significantly usefull greatsword was the dragon bone smasher. There were only like 4 or 5 heavy armor sets and a few other light armor sets where as Dark Souls has like 10 heavy armor sets maybe more and a ton of other ones. I think you're just butthurt because it isn't exclusive anymore. I enjoyed both games a lot, but I don't think there's a major difference in quality and if there is, it's in favor of Dark Souls.Huh? Didn't you ever get soulbrandt or demonbrandt or its combination northern regalia? Or Claymore or Flamberger?
And Demon's Souls has about 20 armor sets. That is quiete sufficent even though, as I said, more wouldn't hurt. It never does.
So instead of responding to any of my arguments you resort to insults? It is confirmed then, Demon's Souls>>>>>>>>Dark Souls.
