N:? I want Too Human.
ETERNAL DARKNESS got real boring after awhile. Each "new" person you played as was just a rehash of the same crap gameplay you used the time before and the insanity thing was more annoying than anything. I stopped playing it about halfway through once the formula started annoying me. Did whoever you were ever beat whatever it was you were fighting? How could you possibly care!?!?!JiveT
WHAT! Eternal Darkness was great. I beat it three times just to see additional ending and alteration of the game. The story was a masterpiece! The gameplay was great.
BIOSHOCKOWNS, BACK ME UP ON THIS! xD
Well I guess it will be coming out on the Xbox 360 and not the Wii since Silcon Knights are close with Microsoft now. However, Nintendo still owns some rights to some of the effects in the original game so I'll be interested to see how this game turns out.
I'm not holding my breath for an early release however.

I thought the game started off very strongly and I was intrigued but I quickly grew tired of the formula the gameplay offered.

Even if that, I say you should have stuck with it, especially how insane the story went.

I don't know whether to cheer or cry. Eternal Darkness is one of those cinematic games which would deeply benefit from the 360's power. The gameplay was never that great; it was the story and the quality of the cinematics that made it so good.
Enternal Darkness will be better on the 360 and PS3. They have more to offer to the game than the Wii. emawk
And that is?
Do they know he backstory as like the sheep who owned a GC?

That is what I thought, and did a search, either I have no clue on how to go about it or I'm just too lazy (probably the latter) I also do believe it to be true. Here's a bit of trivia, Did you know that David Hayter also does some voice acting in Eternal Darkness. Took me a while to find out which characters was voicing for.

The 360 offers for to the developers more resources to create a better game as oppose to the Wii. Compared to the 360 what does the Wii have? The Wii-mote--that's it. The 360 has the gpu and cpu to create a truely epic experience. It always has the online support if needed. When compared to this, would you say that the Wii-mote (judging from what you've seen) would be the better option?

I don't see it needing that much horsepower for this game's sequel. Online is in no way needed, not at all, and the Wii does have online capabilities but all in all not needed. How do how much the Wiimote can do for this game's series?

I could see that you prefer graphics over gameplay??? Anyway, the Wii is powerful than the xbox, so Eternal Darkness can still have great visuals and the wii-mote can give the game an immersive experience!!! And besides a lot of people thought that Manhunt 2 would be better off on the Ps3 and 360 until they read the Wii preview and say that the Wii version is too realistic and would be known as a real murder sim!!!

Hmm.......According to the content, u meant the 360 and not the original. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the 360 was more powerful than the Wii......
Anyways, Eternal Darkness wasn't as scary as other games, but I enjoyed it as much as an epic horror game, and I wouldn't mind if it came out.

I've yet to see any games more epic than God of War II and Shadow of the Colossus. Yes, I intentionally named PS2 games, because IMHO, we've reached a saturation point with graphics where all that can be added now is detail, not scale, and the fact of the matter is that the larger the scale, the less need there is for detail.

There was no need to even compare the Wii and the xbox. Everyone knows what is more powerful. :)
I'm wondering what system it's gonna be for.....
Well one thing they own rights to the Sanity meter. ArisShadows
How can you own rights to a gameplay feature? Patenting hardware, new technology ideas, game names and characters is one thing, but restricting the use of a gameplay function is constrictive on other people's creativity. Without the free exchange of ideas, the industry wouldn't be were it is today.

If games had "rights" to these things, then Doom deserves royalty from every single FPS game there is. Not to mention the N64 having rights to the joystick on a controller, which the PS3 and 360 uses.
There's no such thing like that in gaming.

I'm not exactly sure, but it probably has to do with how the Sanity meter messes up the Gamecube hardware.

As one who owned the Gamecube Eternal Darkness, I still would like to see it on Xbox 360/PS3 instead (not just for pretty graphics, but for scale and complexity. When I saw the smart AI for Bioshock in those beautiful environments, it spoils you)
Furthermore, I might ask, what does the Wii-mote really add that makes it so amazing? You can't do one-to-one movement for sword-fighting (no game has used it and I dont think it can do it), and Red Steel's canned animations don't sound fun to me. I don't wan't Eternal Darkness to use the Wii-mote as some RE-type shooting gallery either. And maybe you might have fun sawing or cutting limbs off like Manhunt 2 but that's not my idea of fun.
I think Xbox 360/PS3 hardware can make this game deservedly complex and cerebral.
then need to can too human and get to work on ET 2
jessmo30_basic
That'd be a great game no matter what system it went to. (Hopes Nintendo jumps in on this)Cesar_Barba
Depends. I didnt really care for Eternal Darkness and the scare factor was almost non existant, the game itself was relatively lame as the gameplay was weak and repetitive. Hopefully they make the game far better, and maybe it will go on the Wii, considering Sadness is also going to be another horror game.

Why is it that whenever people say that a games would be better on the 360 or ps3 as opposed to the Wii, sheep always assume that we are only talking about the graphics. It's not just about the graphics. It's also about physics. A games like Eternal Darkness could benefit from a superbly designd phyics system, in the same way Splinter Cell convinction 5 is benefiting.
For a game like this, sound plays a huge role in making the environment lively and more immersive. The 360 could deliver this way better than the Wii. 360 just has more to offer the game--better graphics, better physics, better sound, better online (if the game has downlaodable content), and possibly more. The game will feel more immersive.
You played the last Enternal Darkness with a conventional controller and you loved it. These controllers will be improved. I look at all these advantages on the 360 and then look at the Wii -- I find it hard to see why people think the game will be better overall on the Wii.

If that's what you really believe (lol), then you have some very low standards. Either that or you lack imagination. Graphics have a long way untill they reach their pinnacle, the same with all other factors of gaming.
