When november 15th 2001 rolled around i got my mom to take me up to bestbuy so i could grab a xbox right when the store opened.

They had two tables set up one for gamecube and one for xbox and bestbuy employee's handing out the console to you can go bring it up to register both launched the sameday.

every single story line for me  is my friends and i got online and laughed  as we stole each other powerups and shot stuff. (or beat stuff up or solved puzzles or raced and ran each other off the road or whatever)

Halo was also a brand new franchise.

I had already  bought nintendo consoles in the past and star wars games.

I'm sorry, but based on what exactly? Are you even familiar with Bungie? They never give too much away before a games release, they aren't one of these devs that releases trailer after trailer after trailer.

Bungie are absolutely holding back, you have no idea how far along they have progressed.

So instead of trying something new, they should just continue to do the same thing over and over again.

That type of mentality is what hurts gaming, not casuals or gimmicks.

Final Fantasy XIII is a fine game and the only complaint I have is the long as tutoriathat is half the main game if you dont do sidequests and it makes the game look like it has a terrible combat system when it is actually quite brilliant in harder battles and no towns equals less expansion in a world that could have been interesting. It is far from a mess if you want a mess look at FFXIII2 all they did was make the story stupid and made it non linear which can be good if not rushed but guess what it was. I also did not understand the hate for the linearity because FFX was just as linear and both opened up at around the same time. 

As for Destiny I am not really interested. MMOs are not really a favorite genre of mine and the only way they are going to make me want it is to show what makes it so special.

It cant be that far from release since its been stated its coming out on current gen system. 

Destiny will be epic because its made by Bungie, Bungie creates awesome franchises that all other games try to copy.

I cant wait to rock it on PS4. It will be a day 1 buy for me.

That's exactly what i was thinking, which means the game is way past the conceptual art phase. They are probably just saving the big reveal for e3.

I wanna get hyped for this game but MMO/FPS just don't do it for me. You get new gear and you can't even see it on your character unless it's a gun, which is like every other FPS when you just pick up a different gun.

If there's an option between toggling TP and FP then I'll get hyped for this game.

bungie is quality man. i just REALLY hope they have a third person option. whats all that customization and character creation for if you can't see the dude you created in action. i can't stand FPS view anymore.

Secondly, yes they have shown mostly concept art but we've also seen a bit of gamelplay and in-game footage in thesetwo videos. They are pretty far into production. In fact, one employee mentioned that he put 60 hours into ine build.

Thirdly, at the end of the video , they say they'll appear at E3. They'll probably have a big reveal there.

If there is something i learnt from System wars, it is that most people do not even bother looking into the topic well enough to make a valid inquisition into it. While i am not a Bungie fan cause i never took to the Halo series, i actually did a bit of looking into several information about the game, different interviews and press hands on behind closed doors. I think its fair to say the game deserves the hype it is getting cause if what i have seen and heard so far is any indication, this is going to be the World of WarCraft of the FPS genre and its unique with the dynamic approach they are taking. Basicly its taking the concept of immersion where things happen that are unscripted, coupled with a cooperative system that encourages bands of friends going on quest together to discover the unknown and lore of the universe with rewards being discovery of crafting items for armour, weapons and unique items. I am not yet very hyped but i can see massive potential with this

100% agree. They have a very clear vision in my opinion.

Final Fantasy XIII was a good game. I can see where some of the hate comes from, but it was far from a mess.

They didn't show an MC because this game is an MMOFPS (although i think they are trying to not call it that). You pick a race, and class yourself and play, this is the biggest project they have ever worked on and so it's obviously going to take a long time to make but they are obviously passed just there pre-production phase, there GDC presentation wasn't about showing off the game as it is now. We just need to wait and see what they show us at E3 to see whats really up with the game.

Guess Only so few developer can grap people's attention by releasing concept arts only, if you were to be a yet establish developer, you'd have to do much more than that.
