I have GameFly so... Don't really care.

What size and color box the system that runs the game is really makes no difference. You don't like kb/m, plug in a controller.[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"][QUOTE="BlbecekBobecek"]
Nope, its because I work with PC at least 8 hours a day and the last thing I want to do when I come home is turn on my PC.
BlbecekBobecek
I like kb+m for FPS and strategy games, thats not exactly the point.
With PC, you have to turn it on, wait for windows to load, type in your password, wait again, check out email and ebanking (at least I always feel the urge to do that as sooon as I start the PC), wait for antivirus to update its database, you sit in not very comfortable position all the time, if you just bought a new game you have to install it, setup the graphical options to make sure it looks good and still has good framerate, then it doesnt work properly so you have to reinstall video drivers, it still occassionaly crashes but you dont know why etc. etc.
With console, you lie on your sofa, relax, start your console, run a game and play it.
I know you can argue that you can use your computer with TV and gamepad too, but you still need to use keyboard and mouse to at least run a game and do all the other stuff Windows need all the time, you will get owned online by ppl that use mouse and keyboard and it generally sucks, thats why noone does it afterall.
If you leave your PC in sleep mode it turns back on in 3 seconds, otherwise it takes about 20-30 seconds before you're at your desktop, big deal...It actually takes longer to turn on your console and get a game running and get through all of the stupid developer/publisher/warning ads than it does to get to your desktop and launch a game. You have to wait for your antivirus to update? Lolwut? Get AVG Free...runs in the background and absolutely never bothers me. Great antivirus program. All that other nonsense you posted doesn't apply, not to mention often you have to update the games on consoles and end up installing them to the HDD anyway.
why did you pay $30 for it when you can get it through gamefly for next to nothing.Serious question, not flamebait.
How do you feel that PC gamers get the game for half of what you do?
Remmib
i imagine it won't take longer to finish than 6 or 7 days which on gamefly is like $3.50.
i literally played $800 worth of new releases so far in 2011 and my gamefly bill for the year has been $125.

It's also extremely rare that I have an issues, and I usually spend just a minute or two doing graphics settings. With PC, you have to turn it on, wait for windows to load, type in your password, wait again, check out email and ebanking (at least I always feel the urge to do that as sooon as I start the PC), wait for antivirus to update its database, you sit in not very comfortable position all the time, if you just bought a new game you have to install it, setup the graphical options to make sure it looks good and still has good framerate, then it doesnt work properly so you have to reinstall video drivers, it still occassionaly crashes but you dont know why etc. etc.

I can see why you don't like gaming on pc however, if I worked on one all day like you do, I probably wouldn't like to game on pc either.

Wow, wait for anti virus to update, check email/banking, wait for windows to load... This guy is really reaching for excuses. I can play a game faster when I turn on my PC and load up a game then my PS3 can. The load times on PC is so much faster so it makes up for the start up process.[QUOTE="BlbecekBobecek"]

Sense, this makes none.
Nothing beats coming home to your own personal PC.
Nothing? I'd much prefer a spin in my Mustang, a medium-rare steak and a pint of Sun King Wee Mac, or my wife ready to go over coming home to my PC. Preferences, everybody has them.I preordered it for 25 dollars from an official Steam reseller. Living in the arse-end of nowhere sure has its advantages!

What I see is, "PC gamers please, please, please don't pirate our game. We'll give it to you half off please!" "Console gamers, well...here you go."Serious question, not flamebait.

Better visuals, better AI, and a sequel to a highly praised PC exclusive. Also its DD. They can cut out the middle-man/big box store fees.

it's a prequel..and the first game was ported to the PS1 i think:PWow, wait for anti virus to update, check email/banking, wait for windows to load... DragonfireXZ95
His attempt at making it look like hell made me lol :D Talk about exaggeration. Must be a pain in the *** for him just to send an email. Apparently he's still using DOS.
I'm not going to get till it drops in price anyways. It seems like a good game, but the graphics look kinda bleh. At least compared to other titles that have come out this year.

Didn't really speak to the quality of the game. But it's a well known fact that PC games release at a lower price point due primarily to piracy.[QUOTE="ChubbyGuy40"][QUOTE="Zero_epyon"] What I see is, "PC gamers please, please, please don't pirate our game. That is not the reason why PC games tend to cost less.

I'm renting it for 7 dollars so I feel pretty content.
Where is it $30? It's $45 on Steam...Stevo_the_gamergreenmangaming.com, apparently, it's 36$, and a coupon code, that may or may not be still active, the infos are in the pc/mac games forum.

You don't have to give royalties the console manufacture on PC, and on the digital front you don't have to pay for boxing and distribution, just the 30% or so that the DD services charge which is much less than it costs to make a boxed version.[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"][QUOTE="Zero_epyon"] Ok what's the reasoning then?Zero_epyon

It's a local reseller, they also maintain the regional Steam servers and sell keys for Origin, Blizzard, Funcom and a couple of others.
