If someone wants the worst gaming experince of his life, including loosing 200 hours charatcers and his games getting hacked, PC is the king

http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Diablo-3-Account-Hacked-You-Need-Warrant-Find-Out-How-43497.html

"I'm sure a lot of White Knights will jump to the defense of Blizzard "There are millions of people out there with problems, customer support must be overwhelmed!" True that, but Blizzard was the one who decided to make the game always-on and decided to introduce the RMAH. If they didn't foresee this kind of madness then they were unquestionably blinded by greed.

This isn't a Blizzard bashing post, it's a eye-opener post. This is a warning to any and every future victim of RMAH scams, hacking, account misappropriation and infiltration. Hackers will not subside; dupers will not quit; exploiters will not rest. You are now responsible for your own account and real-life financial safety playing Diablo III because as shown above, the Blizzard support staff is in disarray and running on PR fumes. Their main goal now is to protect the company's resources at all costs."

God forbid if i ever played a game like Diablo 3, i dont want to waste my time for getting the worst possible outcome gaming could offer, hunderds of hours lost due to hackers and Blizzard incopetence

Put in a ticket. Get everything restored. Problem solved.

Buy an authenticator. Problem solved permenantly.

Also there will be no RMAH scams. It requires an authenticator to use.

God forbid if i ever played a game like Diablo 3, i dont want to waste my time for getting the worst possible outcome gaming could offer, hunderds of hours lost due to hackers and Blizzard incopetence

Yet a mere few weeks ago you were hoping and praying with all the might of your one brain cell that Blizzard would grace consoles with this masterpiece. Blizzard's incompetance? No, it's the players fault for getting hacked. It's not Blizzard's fault that people can't keep their PCs clean and visit shady websites.

If those achievements worth money, then I'm sure hackers would have taken them in all the LIVE and PSN hackings in the past. However those are worthless, so they only try to steal your credit card/pay-pal linked to the accounts.

Stop visiting stupid sites then? It's people like this who need to download antivirus crap.

I have antivirus crap, but it never finds anything, just a precaution.

The game's a cheap grindfest anyway, let them hack.

It has nothing to do with antivirus, I got hacked and I can say with 100% confidence that my PC has nothing on it that would be caught through antivirus. I would know since I always have one on. My account was still hacked even though my Battle.net account has a unique password that I do not use for anything else. I didn't buy an authenticator so I guess the fault can only be pointed at me...

A common password can be easily bruteforced with the processing powers available these days. Even a powerful password can be bruteforced, all it takes is a bit more time. If your computer is clean, then with an authenticator you are pretty much invincible, unless some super hacker with a grudge is specifically targeting you.

At the most your items will be stolen, and in that case Blizzard support is known for being the best at quickly recovering your lost items, or even your characters if the hacker deleted them. A friend of mine had his WoW account hacked and all of his Level 80s were stripped completely naked--gear, items, everything was gone. It only took a ticket to a GM to get all his items back on all of his characters. This isn't as severe an issue as its made out to be. If Blizzard did nothing and offered nothing for victims, then I'd understand the rage, but considering Blizzard has a record of remedying account theft and offering significant protection, I view it as another attempt to dress Blizzard as incompetent.

Well, they dont

Because all console games are offline and not online only crap

With Diablo 3 you dont have a choice of just buying the game and play it offline, that is the problem, with consoles all games can be bought and played offline

And no, when you play offline you cant possibly get a hacked account, it is physically impossible

Also, the people who got hacked joined public games. If you played by yourself in singleplayer or even with a friend, your account was not at risk, despite being logged into Battle.net.

Stop visiting stupid sites then? It's people like this who need to download antivirus crap.

I have antivirus crap, but it never finds anything, just a precaution.

The game's a cheap grindfest anyway, let them hack.

It's playing Inferno difficulty in public games. People get targeted and hacked doing this. That's why I completely avoid playing Inferno public games. I also refuse to buy an authenticator to keep my account safe. There should be no problems and I shouldn't have to pay extra to keep my sh*t safe.

Well, if your lifestyle doesn't make it necessary, whatever. But what's really your opposition to paying a measly $6.50 for maximum security for your Battle.net account? Do you think you're making a statement by not paying for it?

[QUOTE="princeofshapeir"][QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"][QUOTE="princeofshapeir"] It's also available on iPod touch, and I'm a little concerned that you don't have a smart phone but you do have a decent gaming PC.

Why would you be concerned? I don't need a smart phone for anything.

Well, if your lifestyle doesn't make it necessary, whatever. But what's really your opposition to paying a measly $6.50 for maximum security for your Battle.net account? Do you think you're making a statement by not paying for it?

I don't see what I do or don't do concerns you at all. I can do what I want, can I not? I do have an Ipod Touch, I'll give that a try.

So, to play Diablo 3 you now need to have a cell phone

PC gaming LOL LOL, i cant believe i just read that

Most people have a smart phone or iPod touch, and I'm betting even you do. If you don't, well, sorry, but in that case all it takes is a measly $6.50 to secure your Battle.net account.
