Diablo III coming to 360

That sounds horrible. Given the current combat system, juggling player movement and skill aiming would be extremely difficult with such a system, and far from the intuitive nature of using the mouse for movement/target selection and hotbar skills via the keyboard.

The game's skill syetem would likely have to change significantly in order to accomidate console controls. But that isn't going to happen ..and Blizzard said as much themselves: "We aren't willing to make compromises."

I just came up with those ideas in 5 seconds. I'm sure the brainiacs at blizzard surely have some awesome stuff up their sleeves. In my opinion, putting Diablo 3 only on the PC is the real compromise. If you're so in love with the PC version, thats fine by me. But there are millions of people who will pass this game up because they don't see it as being anything special when sticking it on the annoying PC platform.

im just saying..if you want this to go to consoles so bad..then bliz should...i have no problem with that..the supeior version is PC anyway..so even if consoles do get it..im not going to cry in a corner, its a game...get over it..even if it does move pc gamers know which platform is MUCH better suited for this game.

What difference is it to you, if you're getting it on the PC? I guess I just don't understand why someone like you would hate on people enjoying this game on a console. Nobody said that the PC version has to be "dumbed down" in order for people to enjoy this game on the console, so how is this hurting you in any way?

let's see, given that Vivendi hasn't done this yet, and has owned Blizzard since...1998, apparently, I don't see why they would port Diablo but not a watered down version of, say, WoW instead.

well no, usually when games to multiplat they get dumbed down because of a bigger auidence.

sometimes a dev does good and the game is complex on both platforms, but some times games are dumbed down for the reason above

so if D3 when to consoles some pc gamers are to believe that it would be dumbed down to appeal to a wider auidence, while it may not be the case it still is possible..and has happened many of times, so in turn it would hurt us because a game that we once loved because of complexity and deep story was now turned into some 3 grade spelling B dialouge and the most simple gameplay sence super mario bros.

And really, Blizzard won't loose much on PC-only Diablo3. it will run on almost any modern PC, most of potential console customers will buy the game on PC, it's Blizzard, they do have this kind of effect even on console players

Unlucky for them. I'll be playing this while sitting on my sofa, watching my 46" Samsung and marvelling at yet another quality Blizzard title.

It isn't our fault you haven't worked out that you can now game on a PC in the same way you game on a console + get the versatility of the platform and *gasp* get this...you can also own a console!! Yes, this means you can have PC exclusives that take advantage of more customisable control systems AND console games.

Honestly this thread just smacks of an angry consolite, who can't figure out how to work a PC, getting his panties in a twist over missing out on a great game.

Also, auto-targetting would be absolutely awful for an isometric game built around point-and-click combat mechanics, as would target cycling, due to the pacing of the game.

Why would Blizzard waste money porting Diablo 3 when they got a massive fanbase on PC from Diablo 2? Hell Diablo 2 is still selling pretty well so they have no reason to put it on consoles. Especially since that it's going to run on really old hardware, making it accessible for almost everyone, and that one of the lead designers even said that they don't plan to put it on consoles.

If that doesn't convince you that it's likely to not happen, then you're just a blind, blind console fanboy.

lol ok whatever but im not Willie. I love Diablo2 and never said a bad thing about three. so whats this nonsense about me hating something i cant have? basically i want it on a console so i dont have to buy a new PC. one way or another though i will get this game.
