[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Was Crysis wasted potential?IronBassYes. Unlike Heavy Rain. Now that game was superb.
LOL what? Crysis wouldn't be the game it is if it didn't push tech.

I find it incredibly funny that a former pc gamer (KC hokie) felt compelled to leave PC gaming because he could not MAX OUT games. So being incredibly logical, he set out to game on platforms which would provide worse graphics than he would have got with the pc. It's like deciding to eat an ice-cream cone just because you could not afford the chocolate sauce topping on your sundae."DICE: Only 5%-7% of PC Players of Battlefield 3 will be able to run it MAXED out"
When I read stuff like that it reminds me why I stopped being primarily a PC gamer.

Looks like bad dev choices are holding back PC Gaming.

How is DICE raising the bar and setting a HIGH standard holding PC gaming back? If anything it's pushing PC gaming forward by raising the standards that blows away the consoles.
Seriously, I don't know why consolers are complaining. It's called technological progression. I am glad they got rid of the DX 9 crap and focusing on DX 10/11 first. By focusing on the PC first they could make the game as best as they possibly can. Focusing on the PC first and then dumbing it down for the consoles is the best way to push tech.
They have no real argument so they troll, its that simple[QUOTE="Xtasy26"][QUOTE="EvanTheGamer"]

If you went and bought a $1000 gaming PC today it won't max out BF3 when it comes out. That's what I mean.
If the upgrading is fun and makes you happy then awesome.
KC_Hokie
If BF3 can be maxed out on a single GTX 580, then you definitely can. especially by the time it comes out.
They said only 5-7% when it comes out not now. So who knows what you'll need to max it out until they officially release those specifications. The only MAJOR HOLE in your argument is that a GTX 580 is WELL WITHIN the 5-7% range. It's up there with the top 2%-3%.
