Consoles =/= Teamwork It's generally everyman for themselves.Teamwork? Consoles? FPS?
No way.

So did this event start from the 22nd of December then? I wouldn't have thought many people would be playing between now and then but I suppose lots of kids have more time on their hands (even if they aren't supposed to be playing it :P).
i remember this one time when we played Rush and i was a Medic and i had around 60+ revives the whole round and everyone PM'd me after the game. i was so shocked. well, that was in the first 2 months or so of BC2 on ps3 so maybe everyone was just new, or they rarely had matches with medics who actually heal and revive. i've put in more than 120 hours on BC2 before i sold it and at least more than half of the time i was in a match where we had great teamwork. and then Medics were kinda overpowered by the machine gun so everyone was playing either Medic or Recon. lol.
but i played primarily on Assault. nothing beats unlimited ammo supply and grenade launchers. especially on Conquest with that snow map.

SapSacPrime
It's not an event.
They were measuring the statistics all along and revealed what they would have done with them on that date.
i don't see how they were taking pity on anyone, also consoles get free maps, i don't see whats wrong with that, oh they didn't complete teamwork challenges, ummm so? they still basically get free maps. Also the pc vs console debate is so trivial, all of us do the same thing, we sit and play videogames and have fun, arguing about what medium you use to do it is just silly.
[QUOTE="R3FURBISHED"]the day this challenge is announced is irrelevant, if less people are trying to accomplish the requirements for the challenge than it is going to take longer. No?N30F3N1X
There is more people playing on consoles than on PC.
If the challenge was revealed just a few days ago it means noone was "trying to accomplish the requirements" for it before.
Explain these conditions, genius. It's not irrelevant :|
You miss my meaning, I would assume that for this challenge to be completed 'X' would have to be accomplished. As I said if there are less people attempting to accomplish 'X' than it has less chance to be accomplished. No?
Unless every action in the game adds to the completion of this challenge than only the acts that are towards the goal of completing will be counted.
I just played a match of BC2 yesterday and I remember the superior teamwork (as in really superior, perfect player combo of single medic, 2 assault and engi).
Lots of team chat to trace the tank, heal, defend, attack, cursing and pointing out how bad and noob the enemy team was (they outnumber us by 4 [which is weird since auto-bal didn't kick in])

R3FURBISHED
You're the one misunderstanding.
The "challenge" has always been on. It was just revealed to the public on december the 22nd. Those 60+ milion team actions are the cumulative number of all actions done until that moment since BFBC2's release.
Noone knew about it until then. Therefore noone was attempting to push the number forward.
So they can sell less and have their game pirated more? :?Hopefully DICE pulls the plug on the console version of BF3.

Maybe the console crowd would play more if the game didn't have a pathetic amount of game modes. I mean CoD3 had more game modes for crying out loud....

spookykid143
I wouldn't mind that. I don't exactly have a great gaming PC at the moment, but it'll be worth the wait if they go all out with the PC's capabilities. But i got a beta code for BF3...console version of course[QUOTE="spookykid143"]

[QUOTE="spookykid143"]So they can sell less and have their game pirated more? :? it's a muitplayer game...it can't be pirated[QUOTE="Ravensmash"]So they gave the map away because the contest had ended? PC had won, so consoles got it too a few days later. Simple. no..the communities of each platform needed to reach that goal in order to get the map for their respected platform. The PC community just managed to get it first while the 360 and ps3 were so far behide that Dice decided to just unlock it for them aswellHopefully DICE pulls the plug on the console version of BF3.
Funconsole
Well when I checked the other day, the 360 community was only around 16 million actions behind - I'm sure they could have left it a bit longer. In fact, it'd teach those who steer away from teamwork a lesson :PRavensmashPlease do so. I got on yesterday, and about 7 people on my team were just sniping when we were the attackers on valsparo
[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]After all the crying the Halo community did about the armory challenge i doubt any developer will want to attempt something cool like this again. lawlessxwhat's wrong with the challenges in reach?
I believe he's talking about how people who reached the max rank in Reach had to wait for the community to finish more challenges in order for them (people with max rank) to gain access to the next ranks and armor, not the challenges themselves. Whether it was right or wrong, I don't know or care :P

the fact that the ps3 and xbox 360 both had double the amount of playing time, yet, around 1/3 of the teamwork as the pc is epic fail. this is just another bullet point (among many) on how the population of gamers on consoles are more simplistic, so much more casual and unable to play a game correctly; other than call of duty, of course: plant claymore, camp, get kills, use killstreaks to get more kills, rinse and repeat. i wish more developers would do something like this just to show people something. Is this really something to brag about? You pc elites are getting desperate trying to assume your complete power over gaming.

[QUOTE="xYamatox"][QUOTE="Sandvichman"] If someone behind me needs ammo, but cant say so, how would i know, should i turn my back round to give him ammo without getting killed.Sandvichman
Perhaps they shouldn't be behind you.
Or you could just throw down your ammo supply in a close/safe spot, so then they wouldn't HAVE to ask for it, just go to it.
Im not going to throw around ammo for the sake of doing so, you honestly dont see a problem when someone cant ask for ammo in the first place? Its like playing a soccer game with people just standing there expecting to get the ball, instead of asking for it and making you show yourself. Lack of communication=lack of teamwork, this is dice fault, if they included the system they had for 2152 and bf2 pressing q and asking for this and that, it would be alot easier. aInstead of seeing some dude walk up to you and shoot you in the face to make it obvious that they need ammo, any assualt player whose worth his weight will proactively drop ammo. people low on ammo have ammo icons. and yes, you can request ammo, health and reapairs. in soccer its the guy who has possesion who should be deciding who to kick toso what. this chart proves that consolers dont use teamwork as much as the pc players[QUOTE="Cranler"]

players barely ever use text chat on pc and i never hear any voice com. you dont need it anyway since you can tell who needs ammo or a health pack by simply paying attention.Maybe the console crowd would play more if the game didn't have a pathetic amount of game modes. Counterstrike only has 1 game mode and is the most played fps around the fckin globe. Quality over quantity but iI guess u don't understand that because of the consolite syndrome.
360 version reigns supreme in those numbers. PC Gamers just don't have as much diversity of a library to do much else all December.Blixxed
pops in Ut99 and plays a goddamn 10 year old real shooter wich takes skill than any other released last year. No, we don't have to look down in the hands of big corporations to shove us the next sequel in our mouth. There is always a choice to jump back.

It does. But the people that use it dont revive dead teammates right next to them. They're in it for teh kills Sadly this is mostly true. this is not true, it just depends on who you are playing with, I heal people all the time in the console, I don't see any with the guns since aiming isn't as precise, on pc, i don't heal any one, so much easier to mow people down i think I save more lives by stopping the bad guys from hurting my team mates.I always drop ammo and health as well as spotting, reviving and repairing. If my squad sucks I find a different match but it doesn't really deter from my fun that much. Just glad the new map is out, the Vietnam ones are pretty sick.Cr1m1nal_SlangWould be nice if in those situations you could change squad instead of server. And I disagree regarding the Vietnam maps. At least for Conquest all (of the original 4) but Phu Bai are pretty bad. Barely resembles what I know Conquest to be. So narrow, small and restrictive.

I don't know about that, everytime I play there's always medics who will revive me no matter what, 9 dudes right in front of us and he thinks reviving me will help.
