Did MS Moneyhat TR Because They're Scared of Uncharted?

Well, I think MS wanted a game that would be highly desired to help pick things up for their system, and considering the raging butthurt from cows I'd say that they snagged themselves a worthy exclusive.

Personally I liked the latest Tomb Raider game more than I did any of the Uncharted games. But I find it weird that so many people could be upset by this news as the last few Tomb Raider games weren't even big sellers, and the reboot did okay commercially but not that much better.

I think Square Enix went with the deal because there's no guarantee the a new Tomb Raider, even as a multiplatform game, could sell a good deal on the current gen systems with their low install base, so MS coming in with heaps of money is a good way to cover needed revenues with this chapter in the Tomb Raider series until there's a bigger install base on next gen consoles can support it.

If Gears was good, then I'd say so, but it isn't :P

When someone says they are 110% sure, usually they have sound proof that its no longer an opinion. You didn't.

Timed exclusive like Dead Rising 3 and Ryse. This means its coming on PC but never on PS4

because even though the game wasn't as good as Uncharted 2 it still was a damn fine game. And the 90+ it has on Metacritic, over 5 million in sales and hundreds of awards under its belt are prove of that.

And then not to mention that the game's being directed by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley. And then the fact that they now have a genius graphic programmer too.

ND will teach 3rd party devs how next-gen games are done. TLOU is currently the highest rated current gen game and the game's just a port from a last gen console. lol

Can you see Dead Rising 3 or Ryse on PS4? Nope, it´s not coming on PS4. Microsoft just said that Tomb Raider deal is like Dead Rising 3 where it´s not coming on PS4. Microsoft paid money, so it won´t come. You lose.

I don't think anyone here knows what the deal is between the companies...so you shouldn't be speculating either. Since it's not first party nor second party....it's up in the air. It's possible. Who is to say. But your arrogance means as much as his wishing does.

TLoU brought back the Naughty Dog magic and Druckmann is in charge now. I don't see how can you not get hyped.

Could I see them on PS4? Yeah, I could. Seeing as MS owns neither IP, it could always happen.. Just like fanboys said Mass Effect 1 would never be on PS3. I don't lose anything, simply said if I want to play the game(never have wanted to play TR, maybe play with Lara Croft but that's a different story), I'll simply play it on the Xbox One or 360. It's an amazing feeling NOT being a fanboy.

I don't think it has anything to do with Uncharted but everything to do with the fact that M$ is desperately trying to make their console look more appealing. I bet M$ tried to bribe many studios but Square were the only ones stupid enough to fall for it.

I think MS wants a game that can grab the attention of fans that love that genre. Also, I don't understand why some of you are saying UC is awesome, but you dislike TR lol. If you actually played TR 2013 you would know there are a lot of similarities, but I don't think it has much to do with the gameplay as much as it is you controlling a woman. Some people are weird about that.

I'm guessing they did it to try and move some Xbox Ones and make money. You know, that thing companies do to generate revenue for shareholders.
