I really don't understand where all the SEGA love comes from. I always thought the Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast were pieces of crap compared to my SNES and N64- there were really no games I missed out on (mostly since my friend had the maybe 3 good games on those systems?). Was there anything worth playing on Sega, or was it all nonexistant like Blast Processing?

The Genesis is legendary and the Dreamcast was awesome and Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3 is great. So, yes.

Skies of Arcadia, Valkyria Chronicles, Sonic Adventure 1&2? The sonic games way back then were also pretty good too. It's just sonic games now aren't what they used to be. Virtua fighter is still a good fighter though. Why don't they bring back those Chaos. Those things alone gave huge replay value in sonic adventure 2 battle.

Nintendo caught up at the back end of the gen. By then Sega has moved away from the Genesis and onto the next gen

When Sega and Nintendo were head to head Sega beat Nintendo to a pulp, but that was ok because Nintendo removed the blood and have ever since

sorry, nintendo won that gen. even now, theres always talk about super nintendo, rather than the genesis. super nintendo games still hold up longer than genesis games. take it from someone who actually grew up in that gen. the super nintendo thomp the genesis. the genesis was a good console for sports games, though. everything else the super nintendo owned it in.

man, youre hate is blind. nintendo didnt allow mk1 on the system with blood, but they redeem thereselves with.... mortal kombat 1, 2, 3, ultimate they also had rare create killer instinct for them. ect.... i bet youre one of those people that bash nintendo, with out knowing anything what so ever about them.

People love Sega because they use to be good. The Genesis was an amazing system that sold extremely well in is day. There were great games on the Saturn and the Dreamcast as well. Bad management and poor planning led them out of the console wars. Now that they just make games, there are only a few IP's worth playing anymore. The Sega Genesis deserves all the credit it has earned, except those stupid early commercials.

They are sitting on many dead IP's.... Phantasy Star comes to mind. In its day, the Phantasy Star series was as big as Square. Sega still knows how to make great RPG's, ie valkyrie chronicles

every system they ever made was fantastic. They used to out do nintendo back in the day because they gave you more good games to play more often, but they never hit the mainstream as much as the one bomb shell games nintendo released every year back in the day

well unlike sonic, mario isn't struggling to be relevant in gaming. streets of rage cast? the same cast, that isnt known about, unless you grew up in the 16 bit era? as much as i loved streets of rage, they cant compare to even the lowest of level nintendo characters. i mean shyguy is more popular than the cast in streets of rage.

i swear if the box art for yakuza 3 is just a picture of that guys back again with his head turned just slightly more so hes looking towards the camera and is a little more zoomed in I was die of laughter lol

I could honestly care less about its reviews, I can understand the why people might not like it, but the games are severely underrated

I had a Sega Genesis, and it was a really good console. Also, for Xbox, I had.....Sega GT, the racing sim, and that was a solid game.
