Did Sony win 2012? It was a great year for the Playstation 3!!!!

First the PS3 boots 360 into last place and takes over sales leads,

then Journey wins GOTY, and on top of all this, 2012 was a great year for PS3 exclusive hype as 2013 looks to destroy this whole gen in terms of the sheer volume of games being released!!!!!

It was a great year to be a PS3 owner, and it only gets better from here! Merry Boxing Day everyone, and a Happy New Year!!!!!!!

More like the year of flops.

While I feel the PS3 is the better console, it didn't outsell the 360 yet. Also, I didn't find any of their exclusives any good this year and I only look forward to Ni No Kuni next year.

PS3 didn't pass 360 in sales. Sony used combined sales numbers of PS3 and PS2 (a previous gen system). And neither PS3 or 360 passed Wii in total sales so that still remains in the sales lead for the 7th Gen.

But there is Journey for GOTY.

The difference is that the PC was getting more great games than the PS3 by a 10:1 ratio

Erm , I'm usually defending the PS3 , this year will still defend it but I must admit it was a weak one for us gamers , starhawk , twisted metal and ps all stars were all great , but they lack if compared to the last 4 years' blockbusters ; That said 2013 is a promising one.

Man, I'm a Sony fan but I start to agree that SW is riddled with too many PS fanboys...

Journey is a great game but alone didnt saved the worst year for the PS3 since the beggining of the gen. 2012 was an horrible year for exclusives. Multiplats "saved" 2012 from going down in history as one of the worst years in gaming ever. All big 3 were bad this year besides one or two good games from each.

Hopefully 2013 will be as good as it looks
