  4. Respawn is not developing the 360 verison of Titanfall, which makes sense because, who would buy it on 360?

  • Doesn't change anything. What people can't make a game run on the source engine these days? If Respawn wants to keep the game running at 60 FPS, compromises must be made (no physics, ragdolls, dynamic shadows, etc.) I thought Titanfall was next gen, certainly doesn't look like it.
  1. Because its their first game. They're a small team. They went to MS AND Sony at the same time to talk about the games back-end support. Its a game that needs dedicated servers. MS offered them Azure for a very competitive price whereas Sony had nothing to offer. Therefore the game is on MS platforms (Windows, XOne and 360) Its as simple as that.
  • What are you smoking? Sony definitely has dedicated servers. The PS3 had lots of games on dedicated servers. The 360 had very little, despite this Azure. Your talking out of your ass for 2 reasons: A) Titanfall used the Source Engine because it was going to released on the PS3, so it was being developed for a Sony console platform (it's in the link on the OP). When next gen consoles were announced it was quickly moved to the XB1 because respawn accepted the moneyhats from Microsoft (which happens all the time, so nothing wrong there). B) Microsoft Azure is overblown to the max by people like yourself. Your touting it as the savior for next gen with no evidence to support it, just Microsoft's ramblings and Respawn spewing about how the cloud is so great. Open your mind, and stop being a tool.

Tearaway is being made by a 15 people team and looks SO MUCH MORE innovative than this Titanfail... and btw... grass moves in Tearaway, and its a VITA game...

It has a few 1st party games but recently they're all client hosted (TLOU, Uncharted, KZ3 etc) 360 has its share of games on dedicated servers. And maybe you MISREAD WHAT I WROTE because Sony doesn't provide dedicated servers for third party games. Never has. Now MS are offering that infrastructure to all devs. ALL DEVS incase you misread that again. Not just MSs first party, like with Sony. Also, I'm well aware why they chose the Source engine, but one BIG factor was to have the game running at 60FPS. So no, I'm not talking out my ass. Respawn were originally developing a game with no Titans. They kept adding and adding, and moved to next gen platforms. Microsoft offered Azure, so they went with them. That all came from Respawns own mouth, and if you want to stick your tin foil hat on and call them liars, go ahead. I'll make sure you laugh twice as long at you.
  • "The EA Partners co-publishing arm is dedicated to publishing and distributing games developed by third-party developers." I never said EA weren't publishing, but its an EA partners game meaning we don't know what the exact terms of their agreement are. Bioware developing Mass Effect for 360 and PC - you know there was some agreement between MS and EA there because they own Bioware. But Respawn is third party, so this is different.

Hello?? Source Engine?? AKA Half Life 2 Engine?? A 9 year old engine and it's next gen? :lol: Come on man. What more can they add to the game? Keep in mind, if Respawn wants to keep the game at 60FPS, it's gonna look last gen.

To my knowledge, a lot of games on PS3 had dedicated servers, but you are right that no third party game had them on PS3. When you say Microsoft is offering dedicated servers to ALL DEVS, as you put it, what makes you think all Devs will use them? I personally think this dedicated server thing is so overblown it's laughable. A) All we get is Microsoft and Respawn spewing out that the cloud makes it "so much better", even better than the PC, which is hard to believe, since PC is undoubtly the best platform for gaming, any kind of gaming. B) How does the "cloud" provide dedicated servers to everyone? That makes no sense. Game servers are usually seperate from a cloud enviroment. What the cloud does is choose a game server based upon certain conditions (bandwidth limitations, ping, etc.). The cloud can also store data, which the most common tool clouds are used for, so your XB1 profile could be stored on the cloud. You seem to be caught up in the cloud stuff, so I recommend you read how Google uses a dedicated server cloud. If EA is involved, it's going to come other platforms than Microsoft's, unless EA sees big sales.

if we talk about things that don't move,in KZSF when the characters walks through the grass it doesn't react to the movement it just doesn't move and that's a last gen feature found in many games.

if we talk about things that don't move,in KZSF when the characters walks through the grass it doesn't react to the movement it just doesn't move and that's a last gen feature found in many games.

Walking through the grass is OK. When your a titan jumping from a heli into a duststorm, the grass needs to move.

kinda sad the only game xbots are bragging about and im going to be playing it in my pc, the way its meant to be played (tm) while they get blurry textures and horrible animations. Xbone no games confirmed, ps4 + pc the way to go.

And maybe you MISREAD WHAT I WROTE because Sony doesn't provide dedicated servers for third party games. Never has. Now MS are offering that infrastructure to all devs. ALL DEVS incase you misread that again. Not just MSs first party, like with Sony. Also, I'm well aware why they chose the Source engine, but one BIG factor was to have the game running at 60FPS. So no, I'm not talking out my ass. Respawn were originally developing a game with no Titans. They kept adding and adding, and moved to next gen platforms. Microsoft offered Azure, so they went with them. That all came from Respawns own mouth, and if you want to stick your tin foil hat on and call them liars, go ahead. I'll make sure you laugh twice as long at you.

To my knowledge, a lot of games on PS3 had dedicated servers, but you are right that no third party game had them on PS3. When you say Microsoft is offering dedicated servers to ALL DEVS, as you put it, what makes you think all Devs will use them? I personally think this dedicated server thing is so overblown it's laughable. A) All we get is Microsoft and Respawn spewing out that the cloud makes it "so much better", even better than the PC, which is hard to believe, since PC is undoubtly the best platform for gaming, any kind of gaming. B) How does the "cloud" provide dedicated servers to everyone? That makes no sense. Game servers are usually seperate from a cloud enviroment. What the cloud does is choose a game server based upon certain conditions (bandwidth limitations, ping, etc.). The cloud can also store data, which the most common tool clouds are used for, so your XB1 profile could be stored on the cloud. You seem to be caught up in the cloud stuff, so I recommend you read how Google uses a dedicated server cloud.   • "The EA Partners co-publishing arm is dedicated to publishing and distributing games developed by third-party developers." I never said EA weren't publishing, but its an EA partners game meaning we don't know what the exact terms of their agreement are. Bioware developing Mass Effect for 360 and PC - you know there was some agreement between MS and EA there because they own Bioware. But Respawn is third party, so this is different.

If EA is involved, it's going to come other platforms than Microsoft's, unless EA sees big sales. 

What I'm saying is that there is a year for them to polish this game. And it most certainly looks better than last gen games. I play online all the time on 360, I know exactly how good the graphics are. I downloaded the 1080p 60 FPS E3 Titanfall demo off Eurogamer and it looks really great in motion. Games journalists have said the same thing in many stories Ive read. I'm not saying this is some graphical powerhouse like Quantum Break or Infamous, but its certainly not bad looking.

A lot of early PS3 games like Warhawk, Resistance, MGO, KZ2 (Used a client and server hybrid) but after a while they started going with client hosted games with some exceptions like MAG. Some third party games use them too, like BF3 on both platforms but EA provide those servers.

Yeah I said offers devs those servers, not forces them to use them. Not every game needs them, but the ones that do its available to use. And as Respawn said, they could've went to Google or Amazon and rented from their clouds, but that would've been much more expensive than through MS and Azure which is pretty cool.

I don't think they said that (link?) I know fanboys have said crap like that but it doesn't make sense considering TitanFall will use the cloud on all 3 platforms (Windows, XOne and 360).

The cloud is just a marketing term everyone uses now for basically a network of servers. Its not limited to one thing. Some clouds may be set uo just to store data, but Azure isn't. Its one of the best in the world when it comes to cloud computing. I'm not sure what that proves, thats just Googles cloud and it just appears to show that their cloud handles everything from matchmaking to hosting multiplayer?

I bet all the hardcore xbots right now saying graphics and tech don't matter wouldn't say the same thing if this was a Sony exclusive. Now all of them sound like Nintendo fanboys from the wii era over this game. The hypocrisy in SW is insane. While its true that graphics don't matter it be nice to play a game that was playable and immerse. The game might as well be a indie FPS...why is this considered a AAA title?

I'm a cow, and i wont be missing out on titanfall, infact, I can't wait to see what the mod community does with it. Really wanting some Gundam character model replacements. Maybe there will even be an EMB mod too.

Both the 360 and PC have full access to Microsoft's Azure network, so I don't know how the game being on both those systems would disprove that statement.
