DiRT eats Motostorm for breakfast!!

just finished playing the demo, and it is by far the best racer this gen. Great music, the menu is very sleek and stylish, and the graphics are absolutely amazing. The gameplay is a perfect belnd of arcade and sim, and the interior view looks stunning. June 19 andanother AAA.

Im gonna let you cows who havent played the demo in on a little lemming secret. ITS A LIE! ITS ALL A FREAKING LIE.

Seriously though i played the motorstorm demo its 1000 times better than dirt. The only thing dirt has going for it really is the sleek menu. Rather than that motorstorm completely blows it out the water. But I will say the two inside views that show the stering wheel + breakable windshield is pretty cool. Thats about it. Motorstorm is way funner and better looking than dirt.

They haven't put the damage physic in the game yet then. I read a preview on it and it's suppose to have unrival damage physics so that every crash will always be unique. The damage will always be different. I think the preview was in Game Informer. The damage physics is suppose to be better then Forza 2. So before you judge, wait until the game is done. This game is going to be incredible when it's completed. DIRT & Forza 2 is all I'll need for racing games.

Read the preview and then wait for the game to be completed. Motorstorm doesn't own anything yet because neither Forza 2 or DiRT has yet to be completed and released.

And that's essentially what I said. I said he must not have if he didn't notice the great physics, damage modeling, and great graphics. If he did play it, which I guess those pictures are supposed to prove he did, then he has his judgement horribly blurred by his fanboyish mindset.

Yeah. The thing about the Dirt demo is that they like to reset you everytime you are about to do a nice crash off the clif. I WANT TO SEE CRASHES. Crashes are the reason why half the racing games we play are fun. Motorstorm is better. Or at least the motorstorm demo is better than the dirt demo.Japanese_Monk

I thought it was good, the thing I didnt like is when I crashed and went off the track it would stop, and send me back to the track...Anyway to turn that feature off so I can see the entire crash?Vis-a-Vis

That's a feature in Codemasters games I'm afraid. Been that way ever since they started doing that. I wish they would stop, but they're addicted to stupidity apparently.

In other news, I wish I could play the demo, but Xbox Live won't let me download it. It sat there for over 5 hours and barely got above 40%. Then the bloody thing just cancelled the download by itself.

And no, it's not just me, people all over Europe are having problems downloading this demo.
