They said they are starting from a young dante. Its like for example if they did a infamous reboot and they say they want to start when hes young. Its not a prequel its just where the reboot its launching off from.

Its a different look at dmc its a reboot. It shouldint alienate orignal fans since its has nothing to doconnection wise to do with orginal dante.

Hate, hate, hate this. I don't mind it being rebooted, despite there being some loose ends from DMC4. In fact, my only problem with this is Dante. First of all, white hair, Capcom, white hair. Secondly, his face looks hideously deformed. Thirdly, Dante doesn't smoke. Fourthly, his voice is terrible. If Capcom were to literally copy and paste Dante from Devil May Cry 4 into this, personality, voice, and all, I would be fine. But this emo-Sid Vicious look alike just doesn't cut it for me.

Platinum just released a DMC and IMO it's the best one so far.

sorry to cause confusion by mentioning both team ninja and ninja theory in the same post. Actually even though I'm not a fan of team ninja I'd be more positive about them than ninja theory. I'm mentioning Metroid Other M because it was team ninja but nintendo said they were supervising to make sure it was quality just like this is being done with ninja theory with capcom making sure it is quality. I don't care what he looks like all that much as long as he looks and acts exactly the same as in DMC3 and the game plays exactly the same...or something close.

No but seriously, as long as they strive to make interesting gameplay and good pacing I'll definitely won't brush it off. I'm not that interested in the direction they're going so far(hopefully they don't kill the over the top stuff), but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt of course, untill I see some gameplay--which is pretty much the most important thing in an action game.

I've never been the biggest fan of the franchise, but I've always enjoyed it, so I hope they pull some good quality action out of it.

Since its a rebootim guessing they felt safe that they could mess around with him a bit since it has no connection to orginal dante. From what it looks liek they turned him from a japan punk to a london punk look.

I lold my ass off at all of you giving out when half of you guys are weaboos and play as girl/men emos in the persona and final fantasy series honestly if a character turns you off a game you really are sad. I just hope the gamepalystays the same and from the look of that trailer it does

Quite frankly, good controls are all I ask for from my hack and slashers. For all I care, this "Dante" could cry on every cutscene and whine for three uninterrupted hours. I'm going to skip all cutscenes anyway.

The problem is you dont take one of your best heros that is still relevant in gaming and change him up completely . Its stupid and it always fails. I hope they somehow tie this into the existing dante. Maybe explain perhaps how he gets his white hair .

No dont you understand its ruined complety. Capcom is the devil and they have spawned this evil game theres no saving it at all. I mena who cares its a reboot/imagination thus meaning it can take a different outlook on the series its still going to be crap even though its not connected to the orginal series at all. DMC4 was kind of a turd. Half of it was backtracking and fighting the same enemies over and over again. Story is convoluted ridiculous gibberish ( not as bad as NG or bayonetta tho.) I want to see if Ninja theory can do it better and I wouldn't be suprised if they could. Heavenly sword wasn't terrible and enslaved looks quite promising.

Being that I generally dont like Dmc, I'll pass. I dont see the big deal though. I mean, it's a reboot, it's in his younger years, and he is most likely still going to be a cocky bastard. Give it a chance I say. Well for people that have long enjoyed the series.
