The first was was not the masterpiece you are making it out to be. Honestly, I thought it was kinda mediocre (though better on PC since they improved a lot).

Truthfully after hearing all teh hubub of how PC versions are so much better, a lot of times I am not blown away by the difference at all.

While tons of games are 100% better on PC, Mass effect is one of those games where the difference between the 2 are really small.

Better graphics with higher frame-rates, better controls, faster loading is not "small difference"

What better than to begin 2010 than playing Mass Effect2 on the 360.....Unfortunatley Once again my ps3 is left in the dust!!! :P

lol, lemmings always say cows hide behind PC, but the fact is PS3 is actuallya valuble system because it has real amazing exclusives that can't be played anywhere else. 360 is more like a multiplatform system that's like the dirty cousin of the PC...So when people choose between a PC or 360 they are choosing an alturnative system (neither can replace a PS3) but one could choose to decided between PC and 360.

If some one chooses PC (me) it's because they wanted the better package less the unwated M$ baggage. I didn't need a PC or a 360 but I wanted to have the choice to be able to get some of those PC games if I felt like it so I chose the PC over the 360 because I don't like to waste my money.

Don't get mad because cows don't need your praised system to play your most hyped games.

Well I doubt you can beat Demon's Souls in one weekend, but if you say that (which I don't see a point in anyway) I can say there isn't a game that I can't beat on 360 in a single day. :? like I say, I don't see how you think that's some kind of point to make.

Where as I couldn't bare to sit through what I found to be boring and tedious gameplay, just for 2 minutes of very fun dialogue. So unless they actually made Mass Effect fun I disagree completely with the topic creator. :P

Read carefully, I'm not saying it was a bad game, I just didn't enjoy the combat and running around and RPG elements at all. I would have played it more than I did if I simply had to run around and find people to talk to, quite ironic.

Not only is 8.5 a "great" score, many would say it was underrated, as with so many other superb games scored poorly by Gamespot. Lost Odyssey immediately springs to mind. It's also subjective I guess. Even professional reviewers aren't going to enjoy a game if they don't enjoy the genre/style. I know realistic racers such as Forza 3 are great games, but I personally wouldn't rate the best of them more then a 7 because I simply don't enjoy them.
