Do lemmings justify backwards compatibility because they have no exclusives?

I am a playstation fan and even I am jealous of xbone backwards compatibility. Just imagine the amount of exclusive ps1-ps2-ps3 has! I mean ps2 alone have over 4k games. That is a lot of games and many are exclusive only to ps2.

Really want to play drakengard on ps2...

That said. Its not a system seller. Sure its great to play old games but if u want to play those game just get a 360.

LOL you're so right. the sole purpose to own a XBOx 1 is to play games at 12fps.

I mean, I would love backwards compatibility, because that means I don't have to have my other consoles plugged in.

And the game has been patched multiple times since December 2017, but hey we know why you don't use current footage as it doesn't fit your agenda, oh and is still getting updates. Where as this is out and will never be patched, enjoy lol.

True and it's sad because Black Tiger is just some indie game Sony had no involvement with while SoD2 is a MS published and funded game and still looks just as bad.

I think you need to check on the resolution these BC games actually run at.

Why would you need to "justify" BC? Its a convenience, it's a plus and the additional bump on certain titles with resolution and/or performance is very welcome.

If Sony came out tomorrow and said they're making a load of PS2 onward games BC, with select titles getting res and performance bumps, great that'd be sweet, first things first I'd bust out the old Ace combat games, and be a very happy gamer.

@xantufrog: They don't need to "justify" backwards compatibility. It's objectively a good thing for consumers. It's one of the best parts about PC gaming. I think people focus too much on graphical horsepower debates when it comes to PC vs consoles.

Now, Lems may talk it up more than they use it, and/or bring it up to "fluff out" their library numbers when sparring with cows. That's possible. But it's a legit pro for the XBox platform in my opinion"

Agreed. Do i use it? Sure. Overwhelmingly? No. Cows use anything in list wars like MLB SHOW and then turn around and say "sports games LOL when multiplat ones are brought up)

I play video games. They come from any company, exclusive or not. I do not need to justify what i spend my money on. It's mine, i earn it and do as i please with it. MS is working on their time frame building the platform and services they wish to. TC wants to play their games on PC? Knock yourself out guy. You're running W10 and an Xbox app in order to do so. In the end this corporation wants that. Cling to your little definitions. It obviously doesn't bother them

Systems need as many good games as possible. BC adds to the good games of Xbone. It is a brilliant feature. It was brilliant on PS2 and brilliant on Wii/WiiU.

Hahaha that's funny because I'll see cows bash lems for wanting to play "old games" but those same cows are looking forward to Medieval being remastered and everything else that has been remastered like Crash, Spyro, Shadow of Colossus, etc.

Me personally, I love remasters and playing old games; sure the new games are great but sometimes I like to go back and spend some time playing a game I use to love to play when I was younger. I'm still waiting for a damn Warcraft III remaster...lol.

Day in and day out, thread after thread bashing a free feature for nothing other than the PS4 doesn't have it without having to pay a fee. It's called hating MS more than you love your own console.
