Well, I haven't played GOW3, but I have played the first 2 & thought, whiledecent games, they were wildly over-rated unless you like to button mash, which I don't. So, I'm pretty sure that I'd feel the same way about GOW3.

To be fair, as a 360 guy, I fell the same way about the crazily over-rated GeOW series

People are just mad that its yet another great PS3 exclusive so they automatically hate on it. We will see the same thing from the PS3 side when Alan Wake and Halo Reach come out as well

People are entitled to their opinion and they may not like the game in their opinions. But to say it's flat out bad is untrue. see I played bayonetta and I didn't like it for personal reasons but I understand that people may like it because it has good things about it. But me saying it's plain bad is stupid. It's a well executed game with great game mechanics.

i was disappointed in many scores, but almost all the reviews did downscore the game because of " the game did alittle evolution" , which i found very stupid, U1>>>U2 ... Halo2>>>>Halo3 ....... other than that the user scores are just WOOOOOOWWW, the best gaming experience ever

I really haven't seen much hate for this game, but then I don't read everything on SWs either. I'll just give my opinion. I bought it, I played it, it was fun, but it just seemed like GOW1 and GOW2. Not that it is a bad thing, just that this game did not bring anything new to the board. It's just a standard button masher. If your not into this type of game, then GOW3 is going to have no appeal to you.

Also I think the graphics are way over hyped. There are some really beautiful scenes, and Krotos looks great in his close ups, but there are also some less than stellar parts too. I'm not saying the game looks bad, just saying it is not the end all for graphics that most fanboys say it is. Overall it is a very good game, with some fun puzzles. It's fun to play through once or twice, but really inmo there isn't alot of replay value.

So really there shouldn't be hate, but people voicing their opinions is part of SWs. If it bothers you, don't read it. Turn off the computer and go play GOW3.

i didn't hate it, but i just think that GOW2 was a better game

This would probably be correct. And you can just as easily apply this principle to Halo. Its only hated by PS3 fanboys who can't play it ;)

i dunno anybody that hates GOW3 other than Ninja Gaiden/Devil May Cry/Bayonetta fanboys

but they do kinda have a legit reason to not like GOW in general - because the combat in GOW does pale in comparison to games like Ninja Gaiden

but i think they also understand that people love the satisfying finishers and the scale of battle and the epic story

The poll is a bit of a joke to be honest. There are as ever a multitude of reasons people might not like the game. Plenty more people do, so why worry about it? It wont be to everyone's taste.

I never thought the god of war games were that good to begin with. I have the first 2 and Chains of Olympus, and they're all the same game with minorly different settings. And they're not nearly as fun as people gave me the impression they would be before I got them. So I hate on them because I'm sick of big name games getting praise for being lame generic crap and watching people put ketchup on it and eat it anyways. Also, I like antagonizing others by stating my opinion in system wars.

it certainly is a button masher, sure there are combos but when it comes down to it, its a button masher, which im fine with to be honest.

I just don't like the game. I'm not biased and I own a PS3, but from what I've played, I don't like it.

That also goes for Wii exclusives. When a good exclusive Wii game comes out, everyone bashes it just because it's on the Wii. Now, I don't think I have to tell you which people bash the Wii for it's good exclusives

exactly the games are wildly over-rated. i think that's where some of the hate comes from, people tired of the over hype from a game thats the same ol button masher as gow and gow2

It's an epic game that only people with PS3's can enjoy? I mean really, there is nothing that this game did not deliver on. It did what it set out to do and did it well. Yet I've seen threads basically saying if "X" game got flack then GOW3 wil get flack too! and picking low review scores from other sites and somehow claiming ownage.

I only have a 360 and I don't "hate" any game that I have never played. However, that doesn't mean that I want to play all PS3 exclusives. GoW isn't really my type of game, but I would like to know how the story goes because plays on Greek Mythology are awesome.

IMO the combat in GOW is kind of weak compared to Bayonetta or Ninja Gaiden. GOW is mainly about Violence, Epic feeling, and Boss battles. I think it is a great game. But at the same time that is what it is 8-8.5.

This. People treat the series like it's the best thing since air, but it's really just another hack & slash action game that just happens to have a setting unlike most other games.

I dont hate GOW3, I just never found the series interesting.

I think people just never played the first two. Also, the story was overhyped. I never played the GOW series expecting a MGS level of story. I just want it to have "Wow" moments. And it delivered there!
