Eventually. Three is a good number I guess. Wii is unique, Xbox360 is western, and PS3 I dunno. I guess there is no need for PS3.
Kind of feels like that xDYes we do so consoles can catch up to PCs. To a PC gamer it feels that we are in a three legged race with a fat retarded kid who cant keep up.

well for one those rumors have been around for like what 3 years now. theres no legitiment source to actualy base the rumor
and of course we dont need 3 consles. we dont need one. vidceo games are pointless and none are needed. we just buy them for entertainment,
but yes i wouldnt want 3 new ones since i just bought a ps3 2 years ago completing my collection of all 5 consles(psp and ds count in my book) but if it comes keep in mind when the ps3 was announced there were still 3 years of waiting till it came out.
the one to look out for was the leaked info of sony working on a playstation tablet like system
Really,,, and what would your preffered Console be..Let me guess 360.Eventually. Three is a good number I guess. Wii is unique, Xbox360 is western, and PS3 I dunno. I guess there is no need for PS3.

And there is no need for a 360, since most of it's libray is on the PC.Eventually. Three is a good number I guess. Wii is unique, Xbox360 is western, and PS3 I dunno. I guess there is no need for PS3.

console price is a drop in the bucket compared to what i spend on software so really why should anyone not want a better console to play on?
lets say over the 5 year life of a console you buy 25 full price new release games and 50 games foraround half full price.
you just spent $3000 to me that kind of makes the entry price of a new console look like chump change.
sure i'm playing fast and loose with the example here but you get the idea, software is where you spend the vast majority of your money.
actually i'm more interested in things like draw distance and onscreen enemies and crap like that. No, but the graphics whores do.

there is more to a new console than just 100% 1080p and texture quality.
i'm the last guy you would call a gfx whore but i would love a new console. it's been 5 years man it's time.
i guess i don't really care if they squeeze one more year out of the 360 but i'm really hoping for a 2011 nextbox launch.
To keep the balance yes, to allow developers to bring home a paycheck yes, rivalry yes... Without one the others will gain the power of the lost console, no one wants that so it's like they all know it so it will never happen. In a few years when PS4 and Xbox 2(not 720) are released then i will surely buy my most compatible one... I hope PS4 costs the same as ps3 so we get a lovely low kid environment like on PS3 which is sadly dying due to the lower price and mums and dads having no excuse not to buy the kids it now.
i don't remember the price of the Gamecube or the N64, but $200-$250 is too much for how powerful the Wii isThat's why nintendo releases console at the $200-$250 range.

Graphics loving aside, things like frames per second, number of AI on screen, complexity of AI and Physics, different things aside from visuals that can change the gameplay. Though visuals can also change the experience too.No, but the graphics whores do.

The power of the current gen consoles have already done enough damage to the industry. Please, no upgrade from here. Hardware makers can continue to make money off of hardware revisions and licensing fees.
I don't think we need a new console to be released yet. I think it's likely there still a lot of room for growth this gen. Perhaps not too much in visuals, but I can't wait for the games that take advantage of the consoles power and features for something other than graphics.
I'd like to see more online integration into games, but not deathmatch. I'm DM'd out. I mean more integration like Demon's Souls. I thing TLG is supposed to be doing something along those lines. Not like Demon's Souls, but something cool and unique.
The real big question for me is if Sony's starting price next time will be over $400. I would hope they learned their mistake this time around.
I'm sure the PS4 will kick off with a bang releasing along side Gran Turismo 5 as a launch title.

if sony is working on another format prepare to pay alot for the next playstation as well
Hell no. This generation seems like a slow burner, Sony/MS have adapted to this by releasing Move and Kinect to keep interest high for their systems for a few more years. Nintendo are still dominant with the Wii so they would want to prolong this generation as long as they can.
