Do You Actually Believe Microsoft Cares About You? UPDATED

With a price increase and refusing to sell their consoles to the military, do you, as a consumerist and a supporter for Microsoft, actually believe they care about you? Please list/state your reason(s). PS3 owners surely have reasons to know sony cares about them: free online, a new rewards program, free DLC (im sure Microsoft might have that too). So does M$ care about you? Probably not, but I would love to hear your justifications

People have been missing my point.

I know companies care about money and money only. I wasn't expecting Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo to ship me a condolence card when my grandmother died.

But what (notice that I have stress the emphasis on what) has Microsoft done to make you feel like they actually care? Sony has released a new rewards program for its members, stuck with the free online service (despite rumors that they were going to go p2p because of the profit in the market), and they offer free DLCs (though I am sure Microsoft does this too).

So with that said,what has Microsoft done to make you feel like they actually care?

Sure they do. All companies care about their customers, even if it's not exactly the kind of care that you want.

Oh and if a company can, they will screw you for their own benefit. That goes for many regular folks as well.

I don't think Microsoft cares about people but neither does Sony. if Microsoft did care then Xbox Live would be at least a little cheaper. if Sony cared, their products would be cheaper and less breakable.

Financial gain is their primary concern, as it is with every other company.

Of course Microsoft cares about you, they love you, they love you so much that after they pay $70 for online access, you get 39 cents as a thank you for choosing Microsoft, so in fact in the end its totally worth it, because you don't just get the privelege of being ripped off by Microsoft, but you get to have a nice smile across your face and that warm feeling inside knowing that you oh so dearly payed $70 to the Microsoft Foundation and from that you only lost a total of $69.61. This holiday season you get to know that Microsoft loves you, and that your money is being resourcefully used and is being used to benefit yourself and the community as a whole. Forget that the competition gets what you get for free, you get something they will never get: the honor of having better advertisements and commercials, all thanks to the new $10 price raise. I hope you're proud to be an Xboxican, and a proud contributer to those Kinect commercials. The world wouldn't be the same without you.

Expecting a company or corporation to care about you is ridiculous. Care is for friends and family, not profitable business'.

No, but seriously, as long as I am satisfied with the product as an end user........the bleep do I care? As long as no harm is coming to any other human being directly because of their profits........

Microsoft and every other corporation in the world. Cares about you but very little. They want to keep you happy enough to buy their products. But very few companies will go out of their way to show they care. Its a horrible business model. Your will not push huge profits if you care to much about your customers and try to make everyone happy. Micrsoft made 13 billion in a year, so they are doing something right.

Companies want your money, and loyalty, besides that they don't care.

If Sony cared about me they'd make cute, and colorful games that are fun.

And no, I do not find LBP, or Ratchet and Clank to be very good, so they obviously don't care enough. :P

You'd have to be incredibly naive to believe any global cooperation would care about you unless you were a multi billion dollar investor

To be fair, at least when i had a 360, Microsoft sent me a replacement when it broke.

3 months ago i got the red screen of death on my ps3, and sony just washed their hands of me and i had to buy a new one. A sound investment, just a little irritated that their customer support wasn't as good.

MS cares about my money, so as long as they provide a compelling product to earn said money, I don't care whether they love me.

If you took Microsoft's ability to advertise to what Sony and Nintendo do, then they wouldn't be in the games industry, or computer, or any other industry for that matter.

Micrsoft is in it becuase they are good and offer enough good games to keep people happy. Micrsoft would still be around no matter what. They started the whole pc thing.

he probably was but I don't agree with your last post. there's nothing wrong with Microsoft. Nintendo might be more creative than them and Sony just enjoys being completely uncreative but all 3 companies have their advantages and disadvantages.

The only companies that have ever cared for gamers are indie studios not yet bought out by Activision or EA. Taleworlds, CD Projekt Red, Tripwire Interactive, and Valve come to mind.

The only thing that video told me is that rather than be seen as a serious training tool, MS wants to keep the image of the 360 as a kiddie toy. In any case, military BX and PX stores are fully stocked with 360s. Honestly if I was still in, I wouldn't want one as a training tool either.
