Do you agree that this is the most epic set piece of this generation?

At first i thought it was a movie but then i saw the jaggies.

My favorites are the collapsing building in Uncharted 2, the nuke in COD4 and the Leviathan in Resistance 2.

I like this part more.

No but the best set piece this gen was probably from an Uncharted game.

To be honest, I thought "cinematic" is the correct term, not "epic."

I love UC3, hell I love UC period. Best game of this gen, no doubt about it. But there are better epic set pieces IMO, like the oven in MGS4 you crawl through, and then fist fight liquid snake on top of the boat.

No, that moment was way too over the top and ruined all believability in the game for me actually.

Uncharted is the best franchise in this generation. (Of course, Lems are going to disagree... They can spout garbage out of their mouths all they want.)

It's just filled with beautiful characters, story and environments, and not to mention it has one of the best visuals that consoles can render. Same thing can be said to the gameplay, it's just beautifully constructed. There's more... addictive multiplayer is also included. What more do you want from the Uncharted series?

It seems that only on a PlayStation platform where you can find this level of quality and immersion.

Most epic boss battle in history.

Hades was a better boss and I think there have been much better boss fights in terms of "Epicness," including one boss in Bayonetta where you have to headbutt a flying building and another fight where you fight while riding a missile flying through a city.

Cronos is epic from a scale standpoint but it isn't very mechanically satisfying or challenging. It's like fighting a sick elephant with a box cutter.

It's a good piece set but UC2 is better game.

I always thought set pieces and scripted events were for movies, not games.

I completely agree, the train level in Uncharted 2 beats any train level in any game i've played by a longshot, and no other game offers such an amazingly cinematic experience.

*sigh.The word "epic" is becoming too overused nowadays.

Look at how immersive Uncharted is, and people still try to compare it to Gears lmao
