Do you consider GS' score as the ultimate and one and only "truth"?

GS scores are only used if it's an advantage in an argument. When SS comes into discussion, Tom's review is the law and the only "truth" and anyone who cares to disagree with him is just butthurt and can't accept the "truth." However, when it comes to other games like Other M which scored an 8.5 from him, his score doesn't matter and the prevailing opinion is that the game is bad solely for it being different from other Metroid games and not following its tradition.

Scores don't mean s**t. They're only good for upsetting fanboys for the lulz, and so we can see topics like these.

Absolutely not.

They only absolutely matter when determining if a game met hype or flopped, or whether a game has an A/AA/AAA/AAAA rating.

No they are not and I resent how some people here will only use GameSpot scores to discredit orworshipa game when the GameSpot score that is far or below the average.

Gamerankings/Metacrtic has more credibility then the opinion of one random reviewer.

Scores are for losers.

No, I just read the reviews. Scores don't mean anything to me.

No. I actually find it funny when a review score from IGN or anywhere else is posted about Uncharted, Skyward Sword, etc and everyone goes "But this is GS who who givs a ****

When it comes to the System Wars metagame, yeah that's the 'rule'. But any other time, f*** scores. They're 100%, entirely pointless.

I use my own opinion. Though I do read EDGE magazine just for the actual review, they're very well wirtten.

No and I truly feel bad for anyone who does, nobody should take one site so seriously ESPECIALLY a site that has accepted/accepts bribes for reviews and lets not mention the joke of reviews that have come last year I think SW tradition of using GS as the final source is an ongoing joke showing how inconsistent and unpredictable gamespot can befueled-system

Scores are nice to annoy those serious nerds who can't sleep at night after their game flopped *cough* 7.5 *cough* but nothing else. One of the games i enjoyed the most this gen got a 6.5 from GS....silversix_

Nope, the only reason I use this site is for the forums. I really use GS scores when deciding rather or not to get a game.

How was my information irrelevant? You posted a score so I posted a score.

I really don't care enough to look at other review scores, I only have GS favorited on my browser. I like this site the best. I don't care that much about games or scores, so I feel only reading one review should do it. So yeah, IN A WAY, GS is the only score I go by.

EDIT: Should also mention I in most cases completely disregard the score in favor for the actual content of the text review.

Yeah, I do. It's part of the system wars game and their reviews are fairly accurate anyway, whatever they give so far I've been inclined to agree with them. They pretty much called it with the BF3 though I would have given that game lower.

The best score is metacritic's. But if you are considering only one website, I trust Eurogamer the most.

i disagree with many of the points they make in there reviews. i only trust game demo's as the one and only truth.
