Do you feel you have "outgrown" consoles?

How many of you feel you have outgrown consoles and their games and are only interested in 'serious and mature' PC games now?It seems to me quite some PC gamers look down upon games like Halo, Gears of War and the like (not to mention kiddy games like Mario) in favour of deep and advanced PC games.I personally play all sorts of games from kiddy ones to hardcore sims.

no i feel like i outgrown pc gaming.. you can only stand so much wow or any other mmobefore it gets old

You should try some other PC games then. There are some excellent ones.

it's not just the games, but also the controls. I used to enjoy a controller, but I've upgraded to mouse and keyboard. and you can outgrow low resolution.

I agree with you on this. It's why I prefer FPSs on computers instead of consoles. Besides, a lot of multiplatform games from consoles are also on PCs like Batman Arkham Asylum and Street Fighter 4. Besides, it really has the largest library of games of the four platforms, so I choose to game on it. Also, I've enjoyed having to tinker around inside my PC. Never built my own before. Bought it from Best Buy, and had a Radeon 4850 512 mb put in it. Also had them put a couple of case fans in it, which, for whatever reason, only kept the temp. down for a short time. Attempted to put a gpu fan in, but wouldn't fit over top of the gpu where it's supposed to go. Now I have to use an outside fan pointed into the vent on the sied of the case, which drops the temp. greatly. Also took out the network adaptor and now use a usb network adaptor dongle which works flawlessly. Anyway, I guess maybe I can say I have outgrown console gaming, but not because of the games. The controls largely, and the eye candy of the latest hardware.

If I wanted to get a console, it would be the Wii because of this reason. I have thought about getting one, because I like the wii remote, but I don't know about Nintendo's newest system. I've swarn off the right analog stick in FPSs, and it looks like the new controller from them will have it. I'll have to watch closely to see if it's true, and if FPSs use it heavely instead of the touch screen it's rumored to have.
