I don't agree with you about Lost Odyssey either. I think it will flop. I don't think 360 has the right audience for it. The best selling titles on the 360 are shooters. I'm not saying the 360 is made solely for shooters but JRPG fans are going to go to FF.

I don't think the 360 audiance is the same audiance as th Xbox audiance. I didn't like the Xbox at all.

Sony's focusing too much on multimedia is what I think he means.

It seems as though a lot of SW despise Sony and will find any way to turn positive new into a negative news for the company. eg, when rumble was announced instead of saying "good on sony for delivering what consumers want" the idea was bashed (obviously wouldn't happen in the real market, but I'm just saying).

Do you want Sony to fail? Both the PS1 and PS2 didn't get major games for a while and both had rocky starts yet in the end both consoles turned out to be the best of their generation delivering excellent games for a very long time. The same is set to happen with the PS3 as all the major exclusives that made the PS2 so successful are continuing on the system.

I think a lot of the Sony hate on SW spawns from the fact that the majority in here already own a 360 or Wii. The fact is that most casuals are still playing their PS2 and when they're done they'll more than likely move to the PS3 since by then it will cheaper and have all the series that casuals enjoyed on the PS2.

Anyway, judging by the impressive lineup Sony looks set to deliver another excellent gaming experience, so my question to you is do you want Sony to fail with the PS3? If yes, why is that?

I do think DMCIV will go multiplat. I think all Capcom games are going to. That's why I said LP and DR (or maybe their sequels) will come to the PS3. The company has been struggling with profits over the last few years.

The link you showed me lists a lot of Xbox games...?

Look, I do agree with the point you made in another post about how the gap will be smaller this gen...

But I still do think PS3 will be the "clear" winner ie, it's going to have 30 million more sales than the 360 at least I think. (I'm sure you disagree, lol)

The link shows 21 xbox games in 5 years. Most of which are retro collections and only 2 games are exclusive one which is A and required a £100 peripheral to play and another which is C. There was almost no support from any Japanese developer other than Team Ninja for the Xbox last gen.

I absolutely disagree about a 30 million margin!

When SSx flopped their where like 2 threads with hundreds of sheep saying how the game was hyped A and denied it flopping But when one of the many AAA potential games for the PS3 Motorstorm flopped there where 20 threads filled with Lemmings and Sheep who couldn't stop bashing it and said Motorstorm was suppose to be PS3's savior. Where's Wii's savior. PS3 DOESN'T HAVE AN AAA GAME. WII STILL DOESN'T HAVE A GAME THAT HAS GRAPHICS BETTER THEN XBOX 1.

sony is thinking gamer's second on it's machine period..from the price point to it's inclusion of a horrible format for gaming......... Sony somehow managed to pass off a mediocore piece of hardware as state of the art and millions fell for it. Fortunately some gamers purchased other consoles and became immune to the hype, largely because their consoles were qualitatively superior to the Sony brand. Unfortunately, because the Sony brand was the market leader, developers supported it more than any other brand, engendering seeds of discord within the gaming community.

Excellent --  superior products based on other consoles were shunned, over looked, swept under the carpet and even deliberately boycotted, just so as to keep the Sony cash cow flowing. The net result of this is that a whole generation of gamers were blinkered and brainwashed into accepting patently substandard products as "the best".

This irritated a lot of genuinely talented people and a lot gaming fans.

Now that the deception has unravelled, it's only logical that Sony should bear the wrath of its victims.

The real tragedy here is much worse though. You see, the majority of those victims, unwittingly STILL support Sony -- even after the delivery of another shabby substandard product in the PS3.

I don't think it's fair to compare the PS3 to the PSP. The line-up is just extremely different. GTAIV, GT5, MGSIV, FFXIII aren't going to be ignored.

I see what you mean about Blu-ray though but I can't really argue with that. It's a risky move which could be very beneficial to both consumers and Sony eventually.

Taking risks is much better than playing it safe imo. Play it safe and you'll end up like the N64 (cartridges) or GC (purple toy box).

That's about three games.  He's right; all those weird Japanese-type games are going to the Wii.  Those strange games on or coming to the Wii outnumber FF13 and MGS4.  RE5 is on the 360.

purple toy box?.....*sigh*...that purple toy box had some great games for it.....including a superior version of the Original MG..........but GTAand Metal Gear were already ignored on the PSP....and Sony is losing exclusives almost daily...that's a real issue for them.....Omni-Slash

I don't see how Japanese gamers will avoid FFXIII, RE5, MGSIV (those 3 topped Famitsu's most wanted list recently).

Wii is mainly a secondary console. Obviously Japan will choose the PS3 over the 360 for their primary console.

It's confirmed Exclusive to 360 there was a big announcement about it at one of the conferences.

Those games didn't do much last gen because they came out at the rate of about 1 a year. That's just Nintendo's first year line up this time.

This never was a DQ GBA game and the full proper Dragon Quest IX game is going to DS.
