I was a Tekken fanatic. Then I found Soul Calibur. Didn't play Tekken for two years. Just went back to it a few months ago, and I couldn't believe I ever liked it.

I'd pick Tekken now as my 2nd least favorite fighting game, second only to Virtua fighter.

VF > SF > DOA > Tekken

I was about the same.. lol.

Soul Calibur is my absolute favorite fighting game... but I also like DOA, and (as much as people are gonna hate me) the DBZ fighting games, and maybe the Bleach fighting game as well, still haven't ordered that... :(

Keep in mind i'm not a fighting game fanatic type, I.E. I go into DOA4 online and get my butt whooped.

Yeah, because the tekken series is actually making progression in every front, unlike DOA which hasnt changed, at all, over the past several years.

Itagaki needs to take notes, tekken is obviously doing alot of things better.

Any professional fighter will tell you that Tekken is vastly superior to Dead or Alive.

Im not saying Tekken is godly, but it is a evolution in the fighting game genre, it, by itself revived the what we know as the arcade scene, it should be praised as such.

it's funny you said that becuse up until VF4, tekken has always been the stepchild that exceled above the rest. I like VF also and even though it is far more technical, tekken is far more interesting and everyone else out there. VF is only more popular in Japan which barely overtook Tekken DR just recently.
