Does bulletstorm finally prove the 360 is as powerful as the PS3? (56k warning)

Now you all probably know my stance on this, the proof is in the pudding, which is why I never believed that the 360 was as powerful as the PS3. However this game seems to be taking what can be done on the 360 to a whole new level (along with crysis 2).

and scroll to the second black block on the player. Those visuals are better than anything I've seen on consoles (without seeing crysis 2 gameplay of course), so what do you all think? Agree/Disagree?

By the way, this game is going to be game of the year and graphics king. :o :P

Downsampled bullshots don't prove anything. The last gameplay video was decidedly not graphics king material. By the way I don't intend to mine a GTTV video for little 30 second snippets of a game with no soul just to prove your outrageous thesis for you.Brownesque

It doesn't mean 360 hardware is as powerful as PS3. It merely means that this game is very optimised. If one can argue that 360 hasn't been used to its full potential, so can people argue about PS3 hasn't been used to its full potential too.GhoX

I'm going to at least need a demo. Lems were claiming Alan Wake graphics king and look at how that turned out. If the demo and the final product look like the vid, I will concede that Bulletstorm has attain console graphics king status.

In my opinion, it doesn't look as good as UC2, KZ2, C2, or GeOW3. The artstyle and gameplay looks cool though.

You could be correct but i definitely seen Xbox 360 centric UI funtions (X button etc.), altough that could just be a 360 pad connected to a PC.

Fisrt of all what gives you the right to call him a fanboy? He hasn't done anything wrong here and I haven't ever seen him say anything extreemly close minded or untrue about any of the consoles.

Second you don't know if he prefers PS3 or xbox360, and the correct term for those poeple wouold be "cow" or "lemming" not fanboy.

I've seen video of the PC version of this game and it dosen't look as impressive to me. The gameplay looked kind of stupid actually, graphically I don't see how someone could say it looks better than either of PS3's top 3 but opinions...

That's true if the game runs at a good frame rate, has no pop in, things like that. Pop in is bad in UE games, and that's a big negative. Some Gears of War cutscenes didn't load for me until they were halfway over. Not the whole thing, but a character model or something.

I'll happily bet against all of you not only that it won't be a top tier console graphics game, but that it won't even be all that great.

Its like watching people argue over which apple that are almost identicle in size is bigger, silly console fanatics.

I hope this game has co-op. Epic Games is known for co-op.

I think the terms lemming cow etc are pathetic, so I choose to not use them unless in irony. The topic creator has no indication at all he has an xbox, he is obviously a proud PS3 owner and he is making a thread to get some heated debate going about a game which is likely to be a flop. I think I have plenty of right to call him a fanboy thank you (not that I care if you object), and I do not use it in a critical sense either because everybody is a little bias toward one system regardless of how many they own.

A great looking game on console A doesn't mean that it wouldn't look better on console B.

I hope this game has co-op. Epic Games is known for co-op.
