Does CoD4 PC look as good as pS3+360 versions?

The demo is capped at medium textures and trillianer filtering.

Once you put up the textures to max and filtering and max out the AA and then bump the resolution to 1600*1200 it blows certainly does look superior to the console versions.

Are you daft? I read another thread stating that console COD4 doesn't even make 720p. Decided to boot up COD4 and knock it back down to 720p (still higher than the console version), and jesus, wtf is this jagfest?

Actually, I have the xbox 360 version only, and that second picture looks very nice. I don't care that much however since if I really cared about who has the best graphics, i would have upgraded my screen. Both the ps3 and xbox 360 have a solid framerate, the graphics look good, so as long as it has that, all I care about is the gameplay.

I think lemmings and cows need to stop trying to say that their system has superior graphics. Also, hermits need to stop creating pc>console threads because you guys are starting the argument.

As a matter of fact, compared to everyone else, hermits are the least likely to start any sort of thread, much less something that fanboyishly claims pc > console.

We looked at it yesterday and it didnt show did it magically update itself.

On a proper rig of course, I played the demo eveything at high and wasnt very impressed to be honest, and all I hear is CoD4 look AMAZING and keep thinking back to the demo.catlin_czirr

This is the PC multiplayer. The 360 and PS3 version, do not, have textures this high resolution. They look muddy on the consoles. Also, these screenshots were converted from BMP to JPG, so there is quite some image loss - but it should give you an idea. Seeing as both my PC and 360 are in the same room, I can see first hand the PC versions looks a ton better. And yes, I have a 1080p TV.

The demo could only do Medium at the max settings. And yes CoD4 for PC looks ALOT better than the PS3 and 360 versions.

He's a huge and I mean huge fanboy, so don't worry by trying to convince him lol. I have both my PC AND my 360 hooked up to my Sony 40" Bravia and the PC version unquestionably has:

Higher resolution textures

Slightly softer and more realistic shadows

Much better AA

Better AF

and resolution.

and while we're at it, let us discuss resolution. Some of the consolites have been dismissing resolution as something insignificant. Like, the pc version only has higher resolution, right? Well for me and a lot of gamers, that is a huge thing. You consolites make a huge deal with Wii gamers not having HD, then dismiss a PC game, say running at full 1080p like COD4 when compared to your 600p jagfest. It is a huge deal and a huge difference to how the game looks.

So in answer to the TCs question, simply by playing the game in a higher resolution, the game automatically is far superior on a 'good rig' lol.

For anyone wanting to question my credentials of playing COD4, go to my gamertag in my profile (Dazz3r) and you'll see 1000G for COD4 on the 360, so I've played the game enough to know the console version is not as good as the pc version. All my friends are on live :(
