I agree. Japan is pretty useless IMO these days. I will always have respect for the Japanese gaming pioneers, but most games out of Japan are just not for me. If it is geared towards a western audience like MGSV, I will give it a look, but I feel NA and EU game developers make much better games as a whole in modern gaming.

As I've said plenty in almost every thread that YOU post in. Play the def, dumb and blind cow all you want but the fact will remain that you ONLY reply to lems post.

Western Gaming has surpassed Japanese Gaming a long time ago. Europe is new RPG powerhouse these days IMO.

Nintendo's markets shrunk this gen, in the handheld space included, the PS4 is entirely built with the western gaming market in mind (because it's built with making Sony money in mind), said western market isn't really fueled by Europe (the other big market), but more so what will sell in America, and the Xbox has shown for the last 2 gens that Japanese sales basically don't mean shit since they can survive without it. In reality thrive without it.

Japan is a dying market console wise, handhelds glory days currently feel like they are behind them and that's not good for handheld games that people like. If the market itself shrinks, while those type of products become more expensive to make, then you're going to get less creative output in that space that isn't shit all the other devices are getting anyway. And as far as big name sellers in the west? Other than Nintendo who has really drawn big money?

Square maybe with FF14 if we ignore that they lost a shit ton when that game was broken, and Capcom who is a remaster factory these days. Platinum is niche, ditto for Atlus, and From Software's success story is like the last bastion of a middle market type game. Even Nintendo for all the successful software comes with the caveat that the WiiU was a failure commercially, it took happy meal toys for that company to bring in bank.

I owe no allegiance to any brand. They have to impress me. You on the other hand blindly love a label. And resort to idiotic names when someone doesn't praise said brand. I game on wherever a game exists I want to play. Period.

That cannot be the case as long as western games keep thinking that presentation is more important than gameplay.
