Does TR being exclusive to X1 sway you?

I'll go as far as saying I'd like to see last gen game design abandoned. I just watched the Quantum Break gameplay teaser. I'm looking at it as it starts and I'm thinking to myself, "wow nice visuals". Then it adapts that annoying narrative and then it is Uncharted. Now I like Uncharted but that game looked to follow last gen structure, verbatim.

Not really, Im capable of getting some enjoyment from playing Tomb rider but Im not exactly a huge fan either. I cant say its a system seller for me.

No, they'll probably sprinkle some effects too. Like Tomb Raider: The Definitive Version, but this will be part 2.

Ultimately though, it will be the same game designed around the last generation's limitations, and this will be something we'll be seeing in Holiday 2015. On the flipside, it will make games like Halo 5 look very good in comparison.

Well, I'll keep that probably in mind until I actually see it in action.

Just another great game in a long line of great games coming to The One and there's still more MS megaton announcements to come. I'll get One when..... C'mon down, The Price is Right, :P

Final Fantasy going multiplat last gen was much bigger than this. But I imagine you're trying to belittle big deals in Xbox history with that statement. Both consoles last gen had a lot of good stuff going on vastly bigger than this.

Yet it's the Playstation fans who in droves, are buying a console with no games on it. Sales don't lie.

Not in the slightest..The reboot was a fun but forgettable Uncharted Clone nothing to dance about.

I expect this to have an even less impact than Titian Fall, the last TR never cracked the 90s so it's good just not a system seller. You think they wouldn't be so stupid to make this a true exclusive unless MS paid them a ridiculous amount of money.

I see this backfiring in more ways than just not making PC and PS4 sales, they're pissing people off and not in a way that's going to make them run out and buy and Xbox One. TR isn't even going out for over a year plenty of time for people to get over it.

Not to mention the gap between Xbox One and PS4 is only going to get bigger by the end of 2015, so if this was MSs plan to sway people over to the Xbox One by the end of 2015 it will be far to late and any systems they sell because of TR will be laughable.

I would never buy an X1.

It will be on PS3, PS4, and PC by March or April of 2016. Probably just a 3-6 month exclusive window for Xbox I'm guessing.

It's just been confirmed to be a TIMED EXCLUSIVE so we can all stop fighting, Xbox One owners get it first and then it will release on other platforms later, end of the day Crystal Dynamics can't afford to have it exclusive to Xbox One, it sold 69% better on PS4 anyway so, whats the point, Tomb Raider isn't a system seller, Uncharted is, good luck.

Neither consoles has games I'd buy now......and it's kind of funny you said the PS4 doesn't have games since it has a lot of the same games as the X1.....so it's either neither has games or both have games. Pick one....

I thought someone might try to pull me on that. PS4 gets pulled for being the one that sells so much, it comes with the privilege. And even if it does have a few more games, it's not enough or good enough. I have been saying all year neither has games. But since the X1 isn't selling why would I need to pull it up for that. My point is there are more stupid people buying into the PS4 [than the X1] if the 10m figure is correct. And they're still singing their praises, don't know how people can praise current gen consoles.

I will be buying an X1 but this doesn't sway me. I played Tomb Raider 3 on a PC Gamer demo disk way back in the day and didn't see what the big deal was. Not into Tomb Raider in the least. The only connection I have with Tomb Raider is something inappropriately done to/with an image of Lara Croft in a skin tight outfit back when I was in 7th or 8th grade.

Well having no games is opinion. While you look at games and don't see anything to buy....someone does. Also if you game on a console you know there will be years of games coming. Hell there's some games coming up I definitely want. I need a console to play them. So I will soon be upgrading to this gen. There isn't much of a rush....but you know games come. As far as which console or consoles that is up to the individual. I generally get all of them....and I'm waiting for MS to show me something this gen. I just built a gaming computer and if the majority of their exclusives hit PC then it makes no sense to get the X1. But that's not to say if the price drops in the future and the games come I won't. But right now it's not a necessity.

Spencer's comments confirm Square Enix, owner of Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics, is free to do whatever it wants with the game and the franchise after the exclusivity deal ends, including releasing it on other platforms.

That's what is most disappointing to me. It's a shame this new TR game, releasing in Holiday 2015, will still be using last gen assets holding back current gen...again. :( Damn, by Xmas 2015 I imagined we would be free of last generation assets holding back current gen.

You are deluded if you think TR is a franchise that can sell consoles.

The only game that could sway me to buy the xbone is if Persona 5 is exclusive to that machine. And even then I'll see if I can borrow one instead of buying one. The xbone is pretty much useless.

Don't know about lems, but in terms of what was a bigger deal, Tomb Raider doesn't seem like one.

Games aren't really an opinion. Most games aren't up to current gen standards, are multiplats or are Indie games. It's a waste of money buying the current gen consoles in their launch year. That's not to say they won't be good. You are smart to be waiting it out a bit. The part I highlighted is exactly my point. That's the right thing to do.

I'll admit it, I got an X1 and it was a seriously dumb move and costly too. The problem isn't the console, but I should have waited a year, it would have been better value for me.

Okay I'll admit I used to be a lem, but now if I look at these companies and console gaming from the outside looking in and how they treat us, I don't understand how anyone can be a fanboy to them. The PC has shown me how much milking Sony and MS have been doing. Also I don't give a flying **** if they're busy developing true current gen games, that isn't our problem. Don't release full priced consoles with bare bones software and give us a load of poor last gen grade multiplats and now HD ports just so they can have a pissing contest with their competitor. And they need to **** off with that indie shit. NO ONE buys a games console for indie games, they're a nice extra but that's it.

They both have a few good exclusives but they aren't system sellers and there isn't enough to warrant buying the consoles.

If i gave a damn about the game, i'd buy it for the PS4 when it came out for it. But i just dont, at all.

Considering we now know for a fact that it will be turning up at some point, I would rather wait for the definitive edition if I got it at all.
