Hmm, I wonder how System Wars will react to this...

Microsofts Mattrick says he doesnt think compatibility is really a problem. He said only 5% of customers play older games on a new videogame system anyway, so spending time and money to develop technology to allow them to play older games isnt worth it.

If youre backwards compatible, youre really backwards, he said.

Social media research firm Fizziology said its surveys of potential customers before the Xbox event showed 12% of them would be unhappy if there wasnt backwards compatibility.

Hold on to your horses before you think cows and lems can unite on this issue... you know how Sony is at least trying to get some sort of backwards compatibility running over Gaikai? Yeah, guess what Microsoft's doing.

Sony said it is working to make its gaming system offer customers a way to play older games made for the PlayStation 3 (and earlier) by streaming all the information from servers. Microsoft indicated it isnt planning to offer that type of service.

I believe a good gaming PC + 1 console + 1 handheld is the best combo

I got a gaming PC and plan on building another later on this year, and already got a PSV.. next up will probably be a PS4 since currently there is nothing interesting for me on WiiU and the Xbox One announcement didnt get me excited at all :(

At least when sony announced no BC, they were like, we wanted to do it but the cost would have held the system back, it was a necessary evil. We're sorry.
