@-God-: Ugh, more unfinished beta shit. PC in a nutshell. It will. Just like top PC titles like Fear and Crysis, Witcher, and more recently, Elite: Dangerous and Divinity. They all look like shit, but at least we console peeps will have something to check out when we're bored. Thanks, I guess..

In the meantime, enjoy GTAV. That's about the only good multiplat you fellas are getting, and by God(funnily enough), you love it.

Good opinions and all, but GS/MC says PC has the more 80%+ games so far. (By far). All the best gfx are on PC so not sure why you'd mention looks.

Gladly most multiplats are also on PC and far better on PC if you happen to hate the superior skill based genres of rts,tb, mmo, moba,twitch-fps, sim that have real competitive scenes as well unlike consoles.

I just checked on GS/MC. Candy Crush is not scored over 80% or counted in any PC reviews. But I do see a lot of Pinball arcade titles in the PS4 80%+ section. And Why play Destiny when PC has vastly superior MMOs?

More quality (80%+) titles by exponential amounts.

Yes, but not PC Gamers. Steam/Origin/Battle.net stats do not show flash/facebook games in any of the top 100. PC has higher sales than all 3 consoles combined not including flash/social media games.

Also, facts show otherwise most companies put multiplats on PC these days and much better on PC (DigitalFoundry citation). Tons of finished exclusives from Blizzard, Valve, Epic, 2k, Sega, Cloud imperium, most f2p/indy, NCSOFT, etc.

The masters of Doom aren't there anymore either, John Carmack is too busy with Oculus Rift and John Romero is teaching private students in California, anyone else creating a Doom game is just imitating greatness.

Yeah seriously, Doom 3 was garbage.

That said a modernized take on Doom 2's best attributes, without throwing in annoying modern trends (like abusive cutscenes, regen health, overly straight forward level design) would be a plus. Doom 1 and 2 are still fantastic action games that modern shooters wished they were.

the console style Doom 4 which was scripted, cinematic, QTE, and all was cancelled.

this new game is a different game that is more closer to original doom game.

My friend, it would be best to wait and see. That way, when the game is released, we will be able to differentiate diet coke pc gamers from real pc gamer true bloods, much like the Witcher 3 (which I predicted).

Witcher 3 - classic pc game

Unlike many pc gamers, I am objective, showing no favoritism.

The Witcher 3 is a console game, CDP abandoned pc, the controls are terrible, it runs terrible, it has almost no graphic or control settings and it was visually downgraded to accommodate consoles. These are facts.

Using the power of "history", the same rules can be applied to ID, who whole heartily admitted they don't give a shit about pc. At least, unlike CDP, they give users the respect to tell the truth.

well if thats the case about witcher 3. then it could be dissapointing. i guess i have to wait for deus ex md. knowing how amazing HR was.

best thing about new Doom is they abondon ID tech 5. and making it on ID tech 6. and no gameplay was shown at quackcon. if it was dumbed down we would have recieve negative feedbacks but we didnot. i was on doom forum where a guy claim who seen this game. and heard nothing but positive.

Glad they canceled old version of Doom 4. Looked like Mashup between Clownzone and Call of Shity.

Seems like this new one that they are going to show at E3 will be a lot like Old School Shooters.

• Remove health pickups.
• Limited inventory, so you can't carry more than 2 weapons.
• Less enemy variety type/Less guns. No more "Xyz weapon is more effective against abc enemy". Basically what COD does. Kill all humans with just one weapon.
• Linear levels.
• Quick Time Events.
• Slow paced gameplay suited for Controllers.
• Scripted events.

betcha if one of these games were a console exclusive , you console fanboys would ride it's hype train like crazy ass mothafuckaz

So the combat shotgun is in and so is the Revenant. If that's actual gameplay footage you can color me slightly impressed.

My hype level for E3 just shot up to 5 out of 10.

I wasn't really interested in this but after reading details it might be one of my most anticipated shooters now.

Are they still going to be Hell spawn or are we going the Killing Floor aesthetic route here?... Not loving that unit a whole lot, truthfully.

Oh man, that Rise of the Triad maker sure makes it sound like it actually is something different to Call of Battlefield fps. But it's not possible to get anything but hiding-behind-cover-shooters these days, it's just agains the way nature works..

I think since Doom 3 sucked, the developers are afraid to call this game "Doom 4" because it has too much hype to live up to the Doom 2 standards that were set many years ago.

So they're just going to call it Doom..

Unfortunately this is probably going to be another Duker Nukem Forever type of long awaited failure.

I hope I'm wrong though but I doubt it.

If the Witcher 3 was a console game the controls will be better but its not.

The hype for Doom (4) is unfounded. The last game was trash and it was made for PCs and Doom 2, well lets get a quick flashback

So, the last game was a mess and the one before that relied on ancient FPS mechanics that is far from being sophisticated or complex. I am not sure where people are getting this idea that this game is going to be different.

The meta game looks at aaa/aa and aaa/aaE count, which pc has won for 3 gens now. Not which system had 1 or 2 more GOTY's over the other.

@ImBatman- Double jumping? Light parkour? Melee combat focus? Finishers?

I can live with the latter 3, hell the DOOM franchise needs a good shaking up, but they better have a plausible explanation for double jumping.

As long as it's fast paced and stays in first person those additions do not bother me.

Yeah well, i did liked Doom 3, i'm not a huge fan of the franchise but i know its a big deal, so call me hyped, don't care if it is "dumbed down" game compared to Doom 2 or whatever, that game is ancient and the franchise needs to get with the times, so again...call me crazy but i hope is more like Doom 3 than Doom 2.
