Downgrade? Upgrade! Look very closely!

Nobody was saying it was bad graphics but MCs armor and the environments in that pic dont look as good as the e3 trailer. The textures on his armor are not as detailed as the e3 trailer, does anyone know how old this pic is?

The pic was added to Bungie's website yesterday, 7/05/07.

We know it isn't current. Bungie never releases media from current builds.

Actually, no, we don't know this at all. The shot was put up on their site today, and has texture, lighting, and graphical features that are consistent with the other screenshots and renderings that they have recently released. I have no reason to believe that they would release screenshots of anything other than what their most recent builds were able to produce. The news items accompanying the photos imply that this is what the game is going to look like, and they seemed pretty darn proud of it. If you have any evidence that these shots aren't from the current build, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Single Player shot from November 5th. Same amount of Textures as the trailer. This is from LAST year. the lighting in the new pic is better than the trailer. the only thing your all complaining about is the texture on one character within 13 miles. and the fact remains that the only reason you dont see those textures is because the lighting is not directly on the MCs armor to SHOW IT.

I love realism of Global HDR lighting.

im a xbox 360 fanboy but im not really impressed with the current screenshots. I know that bungie can do better but wit M$ rushing them they probably are going to do a half a$$ed game and then come 2012 when they reveal halo #they are going to say "We screwed up" just like they said for halo 2 just look at this link.
