I think my first Ebay purchase ever was a Japanese Dreamcast. I remember doing a WTF when I got it from UPS. The box had photos of a middle-aged Japanese guy on it. I was like "WTF does that have to do with a gaming console?"
I'd rather play the 2 games below (at my sig) than these damn newer games anyday. DC was the last console for those who love old-school games, it'll never die for me. ;)

Not disputing the quality of Soul Calibur, but it was really an enhanced port of a year old Arcade game.

Don't forget Power Stone. That game was fun as hell.
I think the Dreamcast was one of my more played consoles... It helps that it had Powerstone AKA One of the best multiplayer games ever!
My friend actually brought over his Dreamcast recently and a couple of my friends and I played Powerstone for a few hours. Crazy fun. Not to mention it had the original Soul Calibur.

I'd rather play Radiant Silvergun than the big letdown that was Ikaruga any day.
I'd also prefer to play the great SHMUPs of old than generic games like Radirgy, Under Defeat, Karous & company.
i bought a dreamcast like 5 months ago...and let me say its a great system...i have no idea y i didnt get one before i got my ps2...i mean ps2 is GOD of systems that ever came out but dreamcasts was like Gods son jesus...anyways before i get any more randomer....Dreamcast had a great vartiey of games....Sonic adventures, Virtua Fighter (10 rating on gamespot ), Shenmue 1 + 2, Unreal tournment, Quake 3, sega Sports NFL 2k1 + 2k2 (both got 9.9 on gamespot ), outtrigger, powerstone 1 + 2, and a crap load of other games

I bought my dreamcast about a year ago for $15 w 2 controllers, 1 VMU and 25 games (all backups, don´t ask) It´s OK but i already played everything it has to offer (except Space channel 5, Shenmue and finish Grandia 2) and it´s too dam boring right now.
As someone who actually owned5 Dreamcasts, (4 broke down on me) I can blame ALL OF YOU for its failure. With games like Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia, PSO (when it wasn't hacked to bits) Jet set radio,Shenmue, it had an incredible lineup. But do you know what was better? The Sega Saturn.
