Set grind Radio had the shortest levels . Shenmue was just some punk kid asking questions. Sonic Adventure lacked any substance. Sega Rally had 3 courses. VF2 > VF3 Sega Net was too costly and supported 1 isp on the planet! Daytona USA 2000 was alright. Crazy Taxi was a rental. 3rd party support was harder to find than wmds in Iraq. Crimson sea = yawn. RE:CV was alright. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I used that system mostly to play better fighting games and resident evil ports. Why do people look back in awe?Tony-BaxterAll of that on your list is strictly your opinion. Back when the ps1, and n64 were the only competition the DC had the most eye popping graphics ever to grace a console.
1999 - 2001

SoulCalibur 1. Way beyond its time. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 well before the ps2 version and its better on dreamcast. Marvel vs. Capcom. NFL 2K and NBA 2K
People think they're cool if they praise crappy things. Probably why people pretend to like Big Rigs.dracula_16
Crappy things? Why don't you try looking at the Dreamcast's lineup of games in those short two years and see if it looks crappy.
It had something like 25 AAA/AAAA's in what, 2 years?
Weak? Give me a break. :/
Not-A-Stalker
24!
AAAA - 1
AAAE - 9
AAA - 11
AAE - 22
AA - 27
70 games, in every concievable genre.because it had so many features that wernt needed at that time
SEGA banked there whole company on the dream cast and we all know how that ended up
Saturn > DreamcastCristallisThe Irony of this is that,People are still making games for the Dreamcast even though its not being produced anymore.

the only thing that competed was PS1/N64... lol.... of cousre games would get higher ratings, just like 360 on release was compaired to PS2, thats why PDZ got 9.0
If Dreamcast was so great it wouldn't have been killed off so early.
The Dreamcast was essentially killed off by Sony's PS2 but now that everyone hate Sony and the PS3 they wan't to show love to the Dreamcast. People..

No. And no.
It was poor marketing. Nothing else.
Well, compared to Sega Saturn, Dreamcast = God. AvIdGaMeR444I'll give the Saturn credit for being the first with a cd-rom drive in a compact console though,The racing game was i think one of the best for its time on that thing.

Dude, liking Big Rigs is a really obvious joke.
Anyway, to answer the question, I really liked the Dreamcast for its games. Soul Calibur, Skies of Arcadia, F355 Challenge: Passione Rossa, Sonic Adventure (you didn't like it, but I did), NFL 2k (One of the first sport sims I played and actually liked), Samba De Amigo, Segagaga, and others.
Cuz Dreamcast launched with Soul Caliber, Power Stone, NFL2K, and Sonic Adventure (good at the time).
On top of that, games like RE CV, Power Stone 2, Phantasy Star Online, Crazy Taxi, Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia, Sega GT, Jet Grind Radio, Half Life, Quake 3, made it great.
plus it was easy to bootleg games for. Great system
Although the DC does get way overpraised, it is still and will always be at least more of a system than the Wii for example. soulsofblayckLOL, kudos to you sir! You found a way to bash the Wii in a topic that has NOTHING to do with the Wii whatsoever! GET OUT!

Finally, somebody who agrees with me!! I could never figure out why people loved this console so much. It couldn't have been the games, there were what, 3, maybe 4 good ones?
