I wonder the reason the PSN isn't getting Soul Calibur.
It's because the developers know only real gamers buy the PS3, and they all (including me) still own a DC and wouldn't need this one. Also, lemms are the new cows, and Namco saw the potential for milkage. Also, Xbox gamers just got into gaming last generation, so they missed a lot of good titles.
See fanboys? I can post nonsense, too.
Dreamcast...
It died because it had abysmal games. Now them abysmal games are going to XBLA.
Nice to know you 360 owners $50 a year are going towards Dreamcast games :| Lol, no thanks!
Dante865
It had a lot of great games, including this. This game wasn't one of those absymal games...
I dont know why this is supposed to be like "ownage" or something. Should cows start posting "ownage" over PS1 classics being sold on the Playstation Store???

The Dreamcast's library when looked at cumulatively was rated well overall by most critics. In fact, the Dreamcast is looked at by many as having the best crap to quality ratio of any console that has ever been made. Its downfall is that while being an extremely quality system, it just didn't have a large quantity of games, and that is what makes the most money.

While I agree, that would be a different case. Twisted Metal 2 was basically an in house project for Sony, whereas Namco has always been a multiplatform developer/publisher, so the chances of Soul Calibur coming to the PSN were actually much more realistic.
Why are the Xbots raving over a game that is dated and dull by todays standards? The original Soul Calibur is worth only discussion value and novelty. Todays fighters are far superior, arguably even SCII. I'll take SCIV over the original any day of the week.Frexie
The irony is that you've never even played it, and it stands as testament to how great the original was that Namco has resorted to adding novelty characters to keep people excited about new versions of the game...Pathetic!:x
[QUOTE="dream431ca"]Why download it when I can play my original copy on my Dreamcast?krunkfu2
exactly
The 360 doesn't have an affordable arcade stick either. A stick will make the game much more enjoyable
I got my Hori Ex2 for around 50 bucks, and I still think it was a great deal.
Why download it when I can play my original copy on my Dreamcast?dream431ca
because ppl like u (who owned a dreamcast) are a minority.

What?1.) Not everyone has a Dreamcast. If you have one, then enjoy. But don't act like that response is one shared by many. :|
2.) The Hori stick is not affordable? http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=205483240&listingid=12667670&dcaid=17902
How do you define affordable? and is that not? I have one and it works great.

not really, 360 gets xbox origionals, so its all good.
Dear god console fanboys are soooo milked it's not even funny. They are going to "pay" for a 7 year old game.
Why can I not use my dreamcast copy of soul caliber on the xbox 360?Ya becasue console gaming sucks.
I can still use my 20 year old floppy disk on my PC bought in 2007.Lol console gaming is so casual.Go get milked.
[QUOTE="stereointegrity"]i guess cows have been owned by not getting a 7 year old game...:cry:Kirlok
wich scored higher than any of their 'modern games'
in fact it scored the highest score possible
in that case who needs this when i got the ps2 version of Tony Hawk 3 8)[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"]I dont know why this is supposed to be like "ownage" or something. Should cows start posting "ownage" over PS1 classics being sold on the Playstation Store???

That was sarcasim Ghost. I'm saying it's an old game, and people are acting like it's going to be one of the biggest reasons to own a 360.
Besides, Xbox originals can be bought for less than $10 bucks at your local Gamestop... not to mention, the Xbox didnt get beat by 100,000,000 last gen because of it's amazing games. Not to say it didnt have any, but Xbox originals dont hold a candle to PS1 classics.
Very cool, I don't have an Xbox360, but anyone who doesn't have this game on the Dreamcast (Like me :D) should totally get it, I loved it.
PS: And if I recall the last time I was at GameUniverse (A game shop run by gamers with basically Atari 2600 - PS3 selection :D) a used dreamcast was $20 and so was Soul Caliber. So if you can't afford an extra $30 for this game and a amazing console with the best game lineup of last generation then you could get it for XBLM, and DC>Xbox360 version, but if you're to lazy to get a dreamcast then get it for the XBLM!
Why is it that when Lems get a AAAAE game for download on market place, cows laugh at them for being excited about a "Dated" game, yet im sure cows youd go utterly ballistic if FF7 showed up on PS store for DL, an 11 year old game that by todays standards is terribly dated.
No sense in trying to claim ownage on either front, it's good game, im glad its available for DL now, definetaly not ownage to cows, yet SC is a fantastic game, so cows can go shove it when they say it's a crap game for a crap system (DC WAS AMAZING)

nope i got my ps2 all hooked upThe difference, is that FFVII is something that can't be emulated. Soul Calibur has been outdone by its successor in very similar form, and will be outdone in a whole new form when SCIV releases. Yes, it was a masterpiece...for its time. You give SC+SCII to any casual gamer who does not a pair of cents about the Perfect scores the original got, and theyll tell you the successor is better. Why is it that when Lems get a AAAAE game for download on market place, cows laugh at them for being excited about a "Dated" game, yet im sure cows youd go utterly ballistic if FF7 showed up on PS store for DL, an 11 year old game that by todays standards is terribly dated.

Not necessarily, balance wise and consequently gameplay wise SC is much better
[QUOTE="Video_Game_King"]So Soul Calibur never came out in the arcades?HiResDes
whats your point here, people don't own arcade machines, and arcades are an extremely small market in the west, especially when compared to Japan.
I'm saying that Soul Calibur wasn't exclusive. It came out in arcades. If it comes out on more than one system/platform, then it isn't exclusive.
