Pretty amazing considering the game only sold 46k retail on NPD during its launch month.

And yes, before you ask ... that total doesn't include the "free" PS+ version.

5Club took quite a bit of flak at launch but it really shaped up to be a great title. It's nice to see the sales reflect that.

People like arcade racers. Not every racing game needs to be Assetto Corsa, in order to be fun.

The game may have been terrible at release -- I wouldn't know, since I don't buy stuff at release anymore -- but it's just plain fun now. I'm probably more excited about a possible Driveclub 2, than a new Gran Turismo.

I think they are counting the free games. I cant believe Europeans would buy this, such weird people, they bought more copies of a broken game then they did Wii U.

Yeah, forgive me, what i meant to say was i think their lying and counting the free games. The game was given for free during June week around the 25th and the totals were given at the end of June on 27th showing the game sold more then 1.70m.

No, there's no could be wrong, you are wrong, they've said they aren't counting the free version, which means they are not counting the free version. Otherwise, hell, sales of any game can be doubted- for instance, I am sure that more than half of the 6 million that Smash 3DS has sold is actually the free demo that Nintendo sent out pre-launch.

Then maybe Sony bundling it with the PS4 helped it, i just didnt believe the numbers. This means Driveclub is a top 15 selling game on PS4.

I was hoping it would fail spectacularly so Evolution would consider a return to the Motorstorm franchise, that would be crazy awesome to have a next gen Motorstorm game taking advantage of the PS4'S capabilities. Instead we'll probably just get another this which doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Didn't enjoy the full game after 10 hours. The first game I've quit on in a long time.

You should take vgchartzzzzzzz's guesstimtes with a huge grain of salt.

Still playing the FREE PSPlus version. The menus are confusing as hell. It's like going through 50 different doors with little explanation as to what's on the other side. The game is ok, but far from perfect. The graphics are obviously the best feature for this game. I wonder how many of the FREE versions were counted in their totals.

Driveclub sold over 2 million copies before the free version was released.

All my PS4 games are digital, including Driveclub which I got day one.

The digital version was like what 25 dollars for ps+ members not surprising if it dropped that low.

When you don't have anything else to play on the PS4 it's no wonder any exclusive will sell well, too bad the game is utter shit but PS4 gamers have low standards
