you call out the greatest handheld ever made on System Wars then you're going to get your ass handed to you. Anyone who calls titles like Contra 4, Phoenix Wright, Ninja Gaiden, Zelda, Advance Wars, Disgea and Dragon quest "nothing" is a poor excuse for of a gamer
First off, the GBA had one hell of a better game library. The DS is a joke in comparison.
And wheres the inovation. All those games could be done better on other system with out any of it being compromised.
None of the games on the DS put a reall good inovative use to it's touch screen. I didn't buy the DS to have a GBA or N64 experience. And thats where the DS fails mst.
I really don't care about all thse games you listed. Those games were not why I bought the DS in the first place.
The GBA had a crap library, its all licenced crap, if you think the GBA's library is better you must like lizzy mcguire games.........oh wait, you think it beter 'cause that vomit known as KH:Chain Of Memories is on it.Yes, because we all know lizzy mcguire was the only game on the GBA
Ever heard of an example? If one bad game was to represent a console's whole library then ever console has a bad library.

Ridiculous post, but i should expect nothing less from someone who gave final Fantasy Tactics a 3.1 and Dragonball Z a 9.1
Much of the GBA's most lauded output consisted of SNES ports (games which incidentally those of us over 12 had already played). The DS has original exclusive games and a lot of them. As for "innovation" i would anyone with any sense could take a look at the likes of canvas curse, TPH, IAWW, ASH, Hotel Dusk and NG DS to see that developers are making a concerted effort to use the DS's interface in exciting ways (where applicable). Your failure to recognise the creativity of those developers not mean it isn't there The DS does not have an "n64" experience in any way (the only attempt to replicate this with mario 64 failed miserably). There are many titles that evoke memories of GBA or GB games but this is in no way a bad thing considering the awesomeness of those handhelds.
The only thing that "fails hard" here is you. those of us with taste are looking forward to the likes of ASH, TOi, DQ9, Zelda, Contra 4, Advance Wars 2 and Ninja Gaiden.

On the first part, I was being sarcastic. That one guy was saying I was butting into his confersation.
And the reason I gave tactics a 3.1 was because I simply did not like it. I know lots of people do like it and that my opinion it doesnt count simply because I don't like strategy games, so I didn't review it.
And the DBZ game you brought up is Budokai 3. One of the few good DBZ games. Read reviews on it. You probably never played it anywway.
And again, how does my opinion on those game pertai nto the topic?
Canvas Curse was inovative but short. And inovation inst an excuse to make a short or repetitive game. ASH doesnt exist yet, why bring it up? How do you know this unreleased Zelda game is inovative? Stop mentioning games that aren't here yet. You don't know if their good if you haven't played them.
If the game ins't like a GBA game it's like somthing you'd see on the n64. If you don't beleive look at the current DS catlouge and think of the GBA and N64. ou might see a resmbelnace. If you don't too bad, that doesn't mean Im going to change my stance.

Add Advance Wars DS 2 to that list. I recently learned that that game was actually announced at E3, but the media missed it... I found (well, technically another user found)an article on IGN confirming it.
Take note guys that this lineup is for this year, and that there are many games planned for 2008 already, such as DQIX, Final Fantasy IV,and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Ring of Fates.

The DS doesn't have innovation? Are you being serious? Does Nintendogs, Brain Age, Kirby Canvas Curse, Yoshi Touch and Go, or Meteos ring a bell? I think it is pretty safe to say that those games are all innovative, even if you don't like them. Also, how can you say that we can't judge Zelda already on the aspect of whether or not itis innovative if we haven't played it? Do you recognize what forum we're on? This is system wars, people judge games like Killzone 2, Halo 3, and Crysis already and yet we can't judge whether or not Zelda is innovative? Of course it is innovative! It stands out as a true DS game by utilizing ONLY the touch screen, and the Famitsu near perfect score proves that it worked out. Your point has failed, miserably.Oh, and it is spelled conversation, not confersation.
IMO, Race Driver: Create and Race, Geometry Wars Galaxies, DK Jungle Climber, and Chibi Robo should all be added to that list.
Then it'll be perfect (barring anything I forgot or games we haven't seen much of).

Canavs curse was short. NSMB, Advance Wars DS and Pokemon are not. you can not judge the entire lineup of a machine by one or two games
The Zelda game is AMAZING, many who have played it rate it higher than Zelda TP and through my limited playtime with the japanese version i'd have to agree. ASH does indeed exists and is attempting to merge the SRPG and tradditional RPG genres, something that they are utilisng the DS for
As for games that "remind you of the GBA and N64" i reiterate there is nothing on the machine apart from Mario 64 that reminds me of the N64. Alot of the games are reminiscent of GBA games but that is because the DS is the GBA's successor and it would ridiculous to expect this to not be the case. Games like Zelda TPH, DQ9, ninja Gaiden DS, ASH, IAWW, HOM, hotel dusk, panzer tactics, anno 1701, Mysims Picross and MPH are just a few examples of titles that do not have counterparts on the GBA or N64. and i'm sure there are many more

Nintendogs might be innovatative, but it's certainly not for me. Brain age is a quiz game..... That isn't innovative. It's been done before. Long ago. Kirby Canvas Curse was short and repetitive. Inovation doesn't save it from that. Meteos actually was good. Yoshi much like Kirby failed with reptitive gameplay. None of it saves the DS from completly missing the mark of it's supposed inovative reputation.
I don't care if you all think it's okay to say a game is good before it's out. Those sorts of arguments are weak and I'm not even going to acknoledge them.
I really don't care about famitsu. And I wonrebuy the DS for a Zelda and some half good DS games. You've failed miserably to point out more than a handful of inovative games or to even persuade me.

No, everyone here so far has failed to present a good argument against me.
[QUOTE="Dencore"][QUOTE="Tnasty11"][QUOTE="Dencore"][QUOTE="Tnasty11"]so everyone bashing vashkey because he don't like the ds line up that's sadTnasty11
Everyone's bashing him because he says the DS flatout sucks and he won't stop replying to us.
PSP fans do the same why not DS fans?
DS fans does every time when there a topic about psp and can ds & psp get along for onceNo.
and that's why the agruing between DS and psp will never endWell, if it makes you feel better I don't take either side. Both handhelds are pretty bad.
I have an opinion. And I'm not going to change my mind or stop thinking it just because you all don't like it. Bring on the bashing.
And it doesn't flat out suck .... It just fails to innovate or have a good reason for me to buy it again.
It has some good games, it's just that it's pointless to get em when you could bet better versions of them on other systems.
vashkey
I fail to see better versions of games like Elite Beat Agents, Meteos, and Phoenix Wright on other systems.
If you don't like the games, then good for you for not buying them. But don't try to make uneducated statements and tout them like fact.

If your willing to buy a DS for those games alone the go right on ahead.
Oh yes, very uneducated because you thought of three games. Right....
I fail to undestand how someone could have over 15,000 posts yet not hear of "editing" :|Dencore
He he, I think it's funny how you had to edit your post. Anyway, you guys seem to understand what Im typing. Plus theres no point in editing in a topic where we keep building up the pages so fast. Unless theres a user with the patience of a saint, I don't think anyone's gonna wanna read all ten pages here.
