Much of the GBA's most lauded output consisted of SNES ports (games which incidentally those of us over 12 had already played). The DS has original exclusive games and a lot of them. As for "innovation" i would anyone with any sense could take a look at the likes of canvas curse, TPH, IAWW, ASH, Hotel Dusk and NG DS to see that developers are making a concerted effort to use the DS's interface in exciting ways (where applicable). Your failure to recognise the creativity of those developers not mean it isn't there The DS does not have an "n64" experience in any way (the only attempt to replicate this with mario 64 failed miserably). There are many titles that evoke memories of GBA or GB games but this is in no way a bad thing considering the awesomeness of those handhelds.

And the DBZ game you brought up is Budokai 3. One of the few good DBZ games. Read reviews on it. You probably never played it anywway.

Add Advance Wars DS 2 to that list. I recently learned that that game was actually announced at E3, but the media missed it... I found (well, technically another user found)an article on IGN confirming it.

Take note guys that this lineup is for this year, and that there are many games planned for 2008 already, such as DQIX, Final Fantasy IV,and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Ring of Fates.

IMO, Race Driver: Create and Race, Geometry Wars Galaxies, DK Jungle Climber, and Chibi Robo should all be added to that list.

Then it'll be perfect (barring anything I forgot or games we haven't seen much of).

Canavs curse was short. NSMB, Advance Wars DS and Pokemon are not. you can not judge the entire lineup of a machine by one or two games

The Zelda game is AMAZING, many who have played it rate it higher than Zelda TP and through my limited playtime with the japanese version i'd have to agree. ASH does indeed exists and is attempting to merge the SRPG and tradditional RPG genres, something that they are utilisng the DS for

As for games that "remind you of the GBA and N64" i reiterate there is nothing on the machine apart from Mario 64 that reminds me of the N64. Alot of the games are reminiscent of GBA games but that is because the DS is the GBA's successor and it would ridiculous to expect this to not be the case. Games like Zelda TPH, DQ9, ninja Gaiden DS, ASH, IAWW, HOM, hotel dusk, panzer tactics, anno 1701, Mysims Picross and MPH are just a few examples of titles that do not have counterparts on the GBA or N64. and i'm sure there are many more

Nintendogs might be innovatative, but it's certainly not for me. Brain age is a quiz game..... That isn't innovative. It's been done before. Long ago. Kirby Canvas Curse was short and repetitive. Inovation doesn't save it from that. Meteos actually was good. Yoshi much like Kirby failed with reptitive gameplay. None of it saves the DS from completly missing the mark of it's supposed inovative reputation.

I don't care if you all think it's okay to say a game is good before it's out. Those sorts of arguments are weak and I'm not even going to acknoledge them.

I really don't care about famitsu. And I wonrebuy the DS for a Zelda and some half good DS games. You've failed miserably to point out more than a handful of inovative games or to even persuade me.

If you don't like the games, then good for you for not buying them. But don't try to make uneducated statements and tout them like fact.

And it doesn't flat out suck .... It just fails to innovate or have a good reason for me to buy it again.

It has some good games, it's just that it's pointless to get em when you could bet better versions of them on other systems.

He he, I think it's funny how you had to edit your post. Anyway, you guys seem to understand what Im typing. Plus theres no point in editing in a topic where we keep building up the pages so fast.
