Is it me or is there a major lack of 3D games for the ds. This make me feel that the ds graphics are inferior even though I know diffrently. No use of 3D = Worst graphics IMO. If you don't use it you can't really claim it right?kai5o4
The DS is more suited for 2D games because its a handheld, but it also does 3D games extremely well. As long as the game is fun in the end, I dont care which style the developer chooses.

I agree with you all the way 2D is the best sometimes. The DS is the only real system with a lot of 2D potential. I love 2D, but I want some 3D games too. There are a few and most are griddy that it's hard to see much, like MPH

What game looks better than Turok 2? Ocarina of Time? Oh right yeah, none.

Phantom Hourglass looks better then those two, but it could also be artistic...
Anyway, I think the DS is better then anything that didn't use the expantion pak... for sure.
The DS has a hardware limit on the number of triangles that can be rendered per frame (about 3000-4000). This means 2 things : we won`t see games with a high poly-count ever, no matter what generation of games we are talking about and, the better part is, the fact that the DS can render about 120.000 polys per second assures a framerate of at least 30. The N64 had no such limits, but most of the games had a horrible frame rate, even top games like Goldeneye. On the other hand, I preffer the N64`s filtered textures.N-K0d3R
For anyone who wants a comparison, Leon in RE4 had around 9,000 polygons rendering him alone, in-game.
[QUOTE="skrat_01"][QUOTE="TheOneMan"]Metroid Prime Hunters is better looking than ANY N64 game. TheOneManI repeat, Perfect Dark.....is not as impressive as Metroid Hunters. Its far more impressive.
MP:H does not have nearly as much effects or enitities onscreen as PD.
And its res is sooo freaking low.
No seriously I could try PD right now and directly compare it to MP:H - I have both right next to me.
There's a reason people still play old 2d games like super metroid but not old 3d games like goldeneye.
