Now that it's a fact everyone can say they expected it to suck, but I expected more from Gearbox.

You say that as if people weren't really expecting it to suck. You obviously was not around before it released. Only the hardcore Duke fans stood up for this pile, and the sad thing is they still are :lol:

Duke Nukem on the other hand seems to universally be reviewed as a bad game and a flop, it's metacritic is 50 and if it's getting scores as low as 3/10 it must be REALLY bad.
Based on the 5.5 IGN review, yes. It scored way lower than I thought it would. They scored it lower than Conduit 2, but I think Conduit 2 should have scored higher than it did.

Its just like Alan Wake. Delay another delay more and more, by the end we got a bad bad game... I really hope RAGE (which is another delay king) won't turn out to be another fail.
as far as i'm concerned gamespot effed up their review of the score, while everyone else has given it 9's and high 8's, so yeah don't know what your talking about. whereas, duke hasn't been getting good words of mouth from any place and been getting very medicore reviews.

The PC gamer review is what happened. They gave it an 80. They honestly gave bonus points becasue the game had a poor story. It has to be the worst excuse for a terrible story that I have ever heard.

Didnt meet the hype in GS, hence its a flop. see i don't understand that, maybe here on this site its a "flop" but ign and gametrailers have given it 9's and game informer has given it a 8.75. Hardly call it a flop and everyone has been digging it so far. Duke is the flop of the year because its been 10 years in development, been pushed back so many times this year and hasn't been getting favorable reviews. But then again i'm sure you have no intention on playing infamous 2 and maybe your a hermit/or lemming who is happy to see a ps3 exclusive not do to well here. hmmmm?

Statistically speaking GS`s score even considered an outlier, so saying GS messed up their review because it doesnt agree with YOUR opinion while calling me a fanboy is quite ironic. I couldnt care less if Infamous 2 scored a 10 or a 1 nor do i care if its not on my preferred platform. Feel free to speculate though.
I'm just shocked but at the same time totally expected it. I remember back in '03 I was really anticipating it....and just wondering what the heck was going on. My lord, the people at 3Drealms must be soooo incompetent.
I only bought it since it's Duke Nukem Forever, bad reason to buy a game but i think it a very valid one. The game was "meh" but i think it's worth the 75 it was given on meta critic, it was also a good laugh.

Better controls, better graphics, and better optimization. As a PC gamer, it's rather gratifying to see consoles get a sucky port for a change. I just wish it was a better game being ported.
PC gamer gave it a 8/10. "there's no getting around that at the end of that long road is only a good game and not an amazing one. It is what it is. He may not be at the top of his game, but even after all this time, Duke still knows how to party." That's about right. I had fun with the first level last night, looking forward to finishing it.
