E3 2007 --- Sony is going to win. You can count on it....like it or not.

They will win this year's E3 guaranteed. Do you REALLY think Kutaragi was "planning" to retire for awhile? I don't. They "outed" him and he is gone. Sony recognizes that Kutaragi made a major misstep. Sony is familiar with "failed" products. They are pros at making a comeback. Betamax, UMDs, you name it. Sony ALWAYS finds a way to turn it around. Now, whether they actually turn it around with the PS3 is another question entirely.

Microsoft is "arrogant" about Halo 3 being the be all and end all of games, and won't prepare as hard as Sony will. Microsoft is getting more and more flack about the 3 red lights of death and other malfunctions of the 360. Peter Moore was one of the leads of the "Dreamcast team". I'm very iffy about Microsoft's E3 at this point...

Sony will win for sure this year. Everything is a pendulum in the videogame industry. And this is especially true of companies that have been around for awhile. Sony has been around for awhile. They have been failing lately and failing hard with the PS3. They know that SOMETHING has to be done.

And, even if PS3 is not saved, they will have the best E3 this year by far. It may be only hype or BS CGI "fake" video sequences, but it will still be "better" than Nintendo and Microsoft. Remember, Sony HAS TO DO SOMETHING AND THEIR NECKS ARE ON THE LINE. Also, when a company has a really bad E3 one year, then they usually have a great E3 the next year. It is just the way it always works....

They haven't really showed their 1st party games at their maximum potential. Heavenly Sword is one. The graphics shown recently are actually months and months old. Lair has to deliver a lot more to impress.

Also, GT5 and Killzone... I would say the graphics will be very close to the CGI trailer for Killzone. I know GT5 will have better graphics than GTHD.

The PlayStation Eye has a lot of potential. The card game looks great. Home will be obviously shown. LBP will also pwn.

Halo will always have an "OMFG!!" effect, I doubt very much that the SP trailer they will show will be anything short of breathtaking. Fortunately for Sony though, Halo is just one game and they have many games that could take the limelight from H3.

I think you're talking about the Developers Conference. Phil said that it was a tech demo not so much how Killzone will look like.

We will have to wait. Though I've heard that Sony's showing will shut up haters, if not then the world will explode.

You're kidding. After the Halo 3 RvB video, which showed significantly better graphics than the Public Beta, and after Bungie have told countless times that the single player is going to look even better than that, you guys are still skeptical?

i agree with TC, i think sony will "win".

The fact that last years e3 wasn't a blast coupled with the fact that consumers are losing faith makes it seem kinda obvious that for months now sony must have been cooking up a storm. back at the whole sony gamers day thing they knew exactly what they were doing. A plethora of stunning looking Firsty party games goes a long way. In addition there's all this talk of killzone 2 exceeding the target render. lastly there are loads of first party games that have slipped people's minds that could actually be awesome. getaway; the prequels weren't amazing but they've had plenty of time and money to fix that.
Jak and daxter; this being built ground up for the ps3 is going to look amazing. Then there's the Cellius project thing; all i'm sure of there is that they are making something. some sources said that those screens were fake. ultimately the merger has happened and something is in the works.

what could be interesting this gen, is if sony manage to shift sales with their own first party software. all fanboys need to realise it's very far from over.

30 Seconds can blow people away if done right.

Battalions of marines fighting against an onslaught of bloodthirsty Brutes. An armada of Covenant ships overhead, with human jets and Banshees and the other small Covenant craft dog fighting in the air. Brute Choppers and Warthogs peppering the battlefield with heavy machine gun fire and whatnot. And the Master Chief just being the most bad ass soldier in the galaxy carving up the Covenant wherever he is, before a climactic moment arises when an unidentified large drop ship blocks out the sun...

That's what will get the crowd cheering and whooping. That's what Halo 3 is going to be.

to answer your question killzone 2. I'm not saying it'll most definitely own. but $20 million dollars, the amount of time they've had and finally the growth of the team to about150peoplehas got to produce something at least AA.
