Surprisingly, both MS and Sony did a good job.  MS showed off way more exclusives for X1 than Sony showed for PS4, however $399 price tag pretty much seals the deal for me.

MS

+1 for exclusives (KI3 and Dead Rising 3)

+1 for loading another game in the background while playing a different game

-1 DRM

-1 $499 price

Sony

+1 for price

+1 for no DRM

-1 for charging online

Sony wins this E3 but MS still did a pretty good job, IMO

That trailer was barely over a min and it was CGI

Does look interesting though, hopefully it's not a...what was that game called when you hunt mystical creatures or what ever in a city, it was a FPS and it was really bad, was released a few years ago.

MS delivered on their "all games no bullshit" talk so they get credit for that. Good mix of new IPs and older franchises. "Free" games on XBL Gold was a neat surprise. Due to leakage and rumours there were no major surprises or megatons and they really shit the bed with pricing.

Sony held a ton of first party stuff back for whatever reason. Somewhat puzzling because you know they have a lot. 3rd party stuff was mostly solid. Jack Tretton's smackdown of Microsoft will go down in E3 history and the price was as low as you could reasonably expect. Felt a lot more like PS1-era Sony than PS3-era Sony.

Pretty good. I must admit to being disappointed with the lack of megatons with this being the first E3 of generation 8.

It is Eraqus' keyblade, the Master Keeper, which was last seen with Aqua while she stuck in the Realm of Darkness:

Even through the trailer could pretty much be a placeholder like how it been like with the previous games' first look, the existance of the Master Keeper could be a hint of what to come.

I don't know how people can say MS beat sony. While MS showed some nice trailers they did nothing to make the console look anything more than a piece of s***. I can watch trailers on Youtube whenever I want, I don't need a confrence for them.

Sony actually used the time to show how the PS4 unlike the XB1 is not a piece of s***. For that reason sony beat MS.

Ahh. I had a chance to sleep on it and have pretty much decided on getting a PS4. I really like the pricing (399 for system and 59 for extra controller) and the decision to maintain the status quo and not screw everyone over with stupid restrictions. The focus on games is a huge plus.

The conferences:

Sony- Pre policy announcement B- (shit was really boring) Post Policy announcement a nice solid A.

Microsoft- Nice solid conference until they goofed on their pricing.  I'd give it a B-. There was very little Kinect stuff, in fact a couple of their games that were Kinect have been shifted to normal controls. They had good pacing with game after game just like they promised. Unfortunately they stupidly allowed themselves to be outmaneuvered and Sony kicked their ass. Danny O'Dwyer called it before the briefing, he said all Sony had to do is say they won't have any of MS' crap policy and the crowd will go crazy. He was so on point about that.

Well I'm going to say:

MS had the better conference up until they announced the $499 price point. That dropped them from an A to a B+

Sony's conference was good, but nothing special up until they mentioned the no DRM and then the $399 price point. Went from an B to an A. It would have been an A+ except for the whole charging for multi-player crap. Not that it wasn't expected, but it does suck. 

EA's pretty much sucked. Dragon Age trailer, and and the Plants vs Zombies TPS were the only highlights for me. D+

UBI's was pretty good. I'm definitely more interested in Watch Dogs now, and Rayman and the Division looked good. B

Yeah that sucks. To the very least though, from the sound of it the apps like Netflix won't be tied to the subscription like Micrsoft made it for Gold.
