EA: 360 maxed out, PlayStation3 isn't

thats not so much the hardware (the wii) as much as its what they are trying to do with the network infrastructure nintendo uses, adding online and 4 player chat doesnt take up on the disc either

If the network infrastructure nintendo uses doesn't allow these things, that would mean that the Wii is maxed out correct? I'm not talking about disc space with the Wii.

well no, it just means they dont know about networking as much as sony or ms or just about ever major development studio, which i guess is fine since they are more focused on games you can play with people in the same room vs around the globe

So if you were a developer or publisher like EA, Crytek or any other one, which would be your choice when doing interviews at E3 about your newest project?

I'm going to drop this argument, but no one is pushing the Wii's hardware anyway. Just don't like the to from Nintendo that they wanted to do something in a game and they didn't have the capability.

doing "well" doesn't really mean much in this thread thats concerned about whether the 360 is maxed out or not,

This is on par with Crytek saying the PS3 is maxed out.

Truth be told, all engines are going to run differently, and will therefore tax the hardware differently. They will be able to refine engines more and more, and be able to produce something slightly better each time.

Just look to the PS2, with it's early release games, and to FFXII later in release.

Developers saying console X is maxed out is like Kohls lowest prices of the seasons.....you have them every week to the point where it loses its meaning.

Oh, this all makes sense now. You see, I was playing on my 360 just now, and I felt like something was... off. Its just the fact that it was maxed out. Geez, I feel like a silly billy for worrying so much, I was even searching for my warranty...

Funny how the tables have turned from last gen. The Xbox was clearly more powerful than the PS2, but the PS2 had a vastly superior game library. This gen, the PS3 is arguably more powerful than the 360, while the 360 has the arguably superior library. Both consoles are much closer this gen so both factions should feel satisfied. Of course, the fanboys still have to have their pissing contests. Oh well, piss away boys!

Just because it's maxed out doesn't mean it can't produce quality games anymore.

He does admit that Sony "has a lot of good games this year" and was impressed by the "very consistent, high quality product line-up" that saturated its E3 booth. Still, Microsoft was the clear winner to this man, thanks to the introduction of the ambitious Natal control method.

To common knowledge not to me. I was researching about either to get PS3 or XBOX360 and lose my Wii. But I hear all the crazy names for the PS3 Games: KZ2, Res2, Uncharted, etc, etc.... The I hear Mass effect and Halo and I was like WTF is mass effect. Halo was the only game I knew that was exclusive to Xbox 360 and thats before I turned PseudoCow
