@goldenelementxl: dude, answer the questions..
Damn near all games decline in numbers after they debut.. Noone is saying otherwise..
BUT!!
do you think "unit sales" is the most important factor when one of the two games' multiplayer is F2P?..
Follow-up, do you think "units sold" stats from January is more important than the current "Most Played" list on Xbox when discussing multiplayer?..
Both questions have been addressed. It doesn’t matter which metric is more important, when both are illustrating my point. The game isn’t selling like series used to, and just a month after the campaign launch, is falling on the “most played“ list despite the free multiplayer. There are 3 f2p shooters above Halo Infinite on the Xbox most played list. And sure, games see a decline after launch. But Halo is supposed to be THE Xbox franchise. It barely charted in the top 20 in January. THE Xbox franchise...
Then there’s the Steam concurrent users stats (18k 24 hour peak vs 272k launch peak) and Twitch viewership free fall. We can argue which is the most important metric. Or if they’re important at all. We would probably agree on the ranking of the metrics. But EVERY metric is telling the same story. 📉⬇️
you literally still didn't answer the questions.. no one is disputing a decline from launch players (happens to nearly every game), no one is disputing that Halo F2P isn't on the level of F2P Fortnite, Apex, or Warzone (all Battle Royale games and all have years on Halo F2P)..
you are just spouting your usual nonsense when no one is even making those arguments.. you are the poster boy for a strawman at this point..
Bottom line, you posted NPD numbers from January as if they are supposed to mean something for a F2P multiplayer game that launched in December vs another paid multiplayer game that launched in November while ignoring that Halo Infinite is still around top 5 on Xbox while Battlefield 2042 isn't even in the top 50 in terms of most played Xbox games today and even EA is acknowledging Infinite as a contributing factor..
I mean, do you see Fortnite, Apex, or Warzone charting in January 2022 NPD, clown shoes?..
so I ask AGAIN:
do you think "unit sales" is the most important factor when one of the two games' multiplayer is F2P?..
Follow-up, do you think "units sold" stats from January is more important than the current "Most Played" list on Xbox when discussing multiplayer?..
simple yes or no questions.. if no, cool, you're not a complete clown.. if yes, please entertain us like the clown you are and elaborate.. 🤡
