[QUOTE="umcommon"][QUOTE="r11011b"]No matter what happens, I'll never care about the Nintendo Wii. They can outsell every console and steal all of the third-party support in the Universe, but it's not like the Wii will have the samequality of third-party support as the 360 or PS3. EA sees easy money, because with the Wii's hardware they're not obligated to pour funding into decent graphics, A.I., or, hell, even gameplay anymore. Because of the fact that the majority of Wii gamers are mostly casual, they know they don't care.
If I were a game publisher, I'd be switching gears, too.

What your saying makes no sense at all. If a council is popular chances are it will recieve most of the quality games, your talking as if devs are stupid or something. Developers know that they only make money if the game is good.
Let me simplify that for you and everyone here:
Good game + popular council = A LOT OF $$$
Bad Game + popular council = little $$$
Good game+ unpopular council = little $$$
What I'm saying is this: given that, in my opinion, most of the Wii's gamers are casual and have previously never played games before, their idea of quality is different than, say, someone who has played games a lot in the past. So they're not expecting much in the first place.
So, I figure that those developers creating games for the Wii have this in mind (many of them, anyway), and so they aren't feeling as pressured to give their best.
I mean, this is all in my opinion -- I haven't seen one game for the Wii that looks decent, aside from first-party titles.
Most of the people on this board who own a Wii have played games before. Plus even if someone is a noob to games they still appreciate quality and creativity its not like they're stupid either.
