Dude, sometimes my computer's off when I'm not using it. Heck, what if I've been having internet troubles and I can't check a walkthrough? It's still nice having a strategy guide on hand (even if it DOES cost extra money) for these situations, especially because I like reading them from time to time..

Would you rather that, or $100 for a rare cartridge? I admit, I prefer hard copies myself, but this is a time where digital download wins here. A redone port, where you can switch between the new, hd optimized visuals and the original like monkey island for $15-$20, or a cheaper price. I've come to expect more additions than just a digital strategy guide from older games that are priced $10+. PD on 360 is a perfect example of one these rereleases done right, imo.
Better $10 than $15. Hell, better $10 digital download than it is $100 for the real cart.I don't see what that has to do with anything. I just think it's ridiculous compared to games like Pushmo, Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy, etc. where they actually had to you know... make the game. Hell look at New Luigi U. It's $20 and includes a huge amount of stages. It's just ridiculous to pay $10 for what's essentially a rom and a digital guide.
If I wanted EarthBound, I'd rather buy the cartridge than a $10 port that isn't tied to an account.

Nintendo is such a joke. Having to send in police reports, or insurance claims to Nintendo at the chance they might give you credit to re-buy your games in 2013 astounds me.
The moment I am off work I'll be downloading the game. Can't wait. Also should be getting Darksiders II for Wii U today as long as it comes in. The Wii U is getting a ton of time spent with it now and it'll only increase by the end of the year. Really enjoying it. :)

Okay now everybody that was whining about Earthbound coming back on Virtual Console, now is the time for you to part ways with $10. You talked alot of noise when it wasn't out but Nintendo has made their move and brought it overseas and now it's time for you to Put Up or Shut Up. Did you play the original Darksiders? Yeah. It had its problems but was very enjoyable. I've been wanting to play this one for a while but never found the opportunity to pick it up. I just picked up Arkham City on the WiiU tho and it's great going through it again with the game pad. Off-screen play is pretty great when I want to play something but the TV is taken. :P Darksiders II will be great for off-screen play. I'll be able to get theough it a lot more quickly because of that.

The thing is at least for me price isn't scalable like that. Its either too expensive or just right.
Sure its MUCH better than what it was on Ebay and such, but its still an older game on an older machine. I'm no nut job when it comes to this kind of stuff (aka those guys who buy these games for 100+ on Ebay imo), so I kind of want a price to reflect that.

I have Darksiders 2 but after the first game took me longer than it should have, I kind of fatigued out of the franchise already. Still, I liked it a lot. For all its technical drawbacks, I love how wholesomely gamey it was. It also made me a believer in the Zelda formula in a way Zelda never did. Off screen play sounds great for something like Darksiders and Batman. Really wish they were on handhelds as well, but oh well.
