The worst part is that it wouldn't surprise anyone if MS priced it that high. That price has as much fail as the PSP Go's price point.

[QUOTE="lbjkurono23"] Because natal and the wii are nothing alike? :P
Snugenz
lol they dont look alike but they are all for motion controls. its going to go like this
customer:how much is the new xbox thing?
worker: 150
customer: how much is the wii?
worker:200
customer:which one has mario?
worker:the wii
customer: ok i want the wii then
lol it goes like that every time in my store.
You got Natal early then? :?
Whats it like?
i dont specifically mean natal but anytime they are trying to buy a system whatever has mario in it casuals just eat them up. There were so many times people asked me is there mario for the ps3? and i say no and they jus look so disappointed
Why is natal priced the same exact price that wii is going to be when it comes out this holiday. It truly is baffling to raise the cost of a console where it is higher than competition midlife over this. Natal alone costs 150 $. Do you expect it not to cost 300$ for the lowest bundle with it. I mean it is a failure from the get go (I am happy about this). But who really wants to buy an inferior product geared toward casual at the same exact price.

[QUOTE="HuusAsking"]Must've been a turnaround since then. Look at how well DDR and the band games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band have been doing.VendettaRed07
This is true
Rock Band costs a bomb, sold well and only played Rock Band. I don't like the price one bit (if accurate), but If its marketed as well as the Wii and has a bucket of software then it could be a great success. I mean people were buying Wii Fit for £99 during the shortage, thats like $150 and you could barely call it a game.
well I mean lookat at what you get for rockband. You get a 60$ game, a mic, a guitar, and a drum set. You are paying for just a camera in this case. People see the guitars and drums sets and go woh, I wanna play that. They dont look at a camera and go hey this is totally worth an extra 150$. I know it may not seem different. But to the average consumer I think it really is
Not arguing the price point, simply the fact that accessories are not always destined to fail.[QUOTE="Snugenz"]

IOW, Nintendo essentially has itself a golden goose (or in this case, a golden plumber). Mario has become a cliche for gaming itself (much as Xerox is a cliche for photocopiers), Many people equate one with the other so won't be satisfied with anything else. Please Log In to post.
