[QUOTE="ShadowMoses900"][QUOTE="blackace"] You do realize that Sony doesn't run servers for ever Sony game on the PS3 right. Many of the games are run by the developers servers. They can easily be shut down by the developers without Sony having any involvement. Especially since these developers aren't being paid to keep the servers up. I do pay for XBL so I am getting all my games online. If you stop paying for PS+ you don't get your FREE Game rentals. It's a service. The difference is the FREE games you get from M$ are you're to keep. They aren't rentals. That's what I'm telling you. You don't need XBL once you've downloaded them for FREE. You can play them offline. You can't do that with PS+ FREE games. You obviously tried to avoid the obvious. HOME and PS Online Magazine was a JOKE. Both failed which is why Sony created PS+.vashkey
I don't understand, what servers are you referring to? Most gameplay is P2P, this goes for both XBL and PSN. Your internet is used as bandwidth with a host connection, there is no "real" server to speak of. Games with dedicated servers can be shut down, their is no reason to shut down P2P servers which are handled by the devs.
You sound kinda angry for some reason. Sorry if I upset you.
Even if a game runs on p2p it still requires servers to run the online and match making features. There's more to it. This is why classic xbox games can't be played online despite being p2p. And servers have been shut down for certain games on both PS3 and 360 in the past such as the orignal Army of TwoHmm....I suppose. I play a lot of older games on PC and they still have active communities, I thought consoles worked the same way. I still don't understand what he was talking about, if they want to shut down a server they will, I don't see what this has to do with XBL and PSN.
And what the christmas steam sale comes in everyone will forget about that one,wich will probably have pretty bad deals compared to steam anyway. :PMrYaotuboOh yea definitely. But hey, at least they're trying. ;)
LOL why are people saying 5% when the weekly deals MS hold are usually 33 or 50% off.RR360DDI wouldn't hold my breathe on those games called BL2 and Skyrim. They might see a small drop. But I could be wrong. Most of the sales on the xbl marketplace are not worth checking out imo. Most of the games listed on those sells are games that most people own/not interested in. I've got the season pass for BL2. So I see what the dlc for skyrim goes down to.
I'll be buying Fez. I didn't want to due to the creator being your standard pompous indie douchebag on top of him refusing to pay $40k to patch a game that made him a millionare, but after seeing that Indie Game movie and playing it at my friends house, I'm willing to support the title as long as I can make sure he gets as little money as possible in return. Skyrim Heathfire as well and possible Dust, although I really hope that game isn't lacking z-axis movement.Senor_Kami
First of all, it's fixed in the June 22 title update. Secondly, the decision wasn't his alone to make. Lastly, it's highly unlikely he's made a million even if he's doubled the 100k sale since May, Microsoft probably got a huge slice of the pie and he's also got a partner in on this, as well as an ex-partner that is entitled to a share of the profits.
You just come off as a cheapskate who felt he had to justify waiting for the sale price, which is perfectly fine in itself. Waiting for a sale, I mean.
Sonic Adventure 2 might tempt me.
I suppose I should get stupid f*cking Dust, since I don't know when I'll have another chance to give them less money for it.
"The Walking Dead series (spoiler: it's really good), the whole series is on sale on 28th December, while first the episode is completely free for a week starting Christmas Day."[QUOTE="SecretPolice"]
[QUOTE="Quaker-w00ts"]
Eh, probably only gonna be a couple dollars off.
I Don't wanna get hyped for the sale and then see Walking Dead slashed $2.00 off.

The only way the 1st episode deal gets better is if the pay you to play it. :P
