Epic Games: Bulletstorm didnt Sell

Thought i'd share this, with an interview with Epic games the developer of Bulletstorm and also the developer of Gears of War mentioned that their game bulletstorm which was released in Feb early this year didnt really do well in terms of sales but they did mention that the game was fun to make.

The game is already at $29.99.. only a matter of few months till it hit $19 or $9 so might as well wait and get it.

Sounds about right...I'll pick it up when it hits the $10 mark. :D

Of course it didn't sell, the game was barely worth a rent because it had little to no replay value even if you loved it, which I'm guessing not many did.

BS was fun, but I think me and a few others got the game for GeOW3 beta. I bet if getting BS was the only way to paly the beta, it would sell a ton more.

I find funny that part of their marketing campaign included making fun of CoD. Protip: don't make fun of those more successful than you.IronBass

I was busy playing good games.

That's a shame. I bought it full price and while it definitely wasn't worth what I paid for it, it deserves to be played.

EVen thoe it does make fun of modern shooters, it stills very similar to said modern shooters...

You should never get games full price, unless their very big and good like uncharted or MW3 or rare like the JRPGs, games now go down in price real fast! i mean bulletstorm went $20 down 3 or 4 weeks after release! same with portal 2 which went to $39 exactly a few weeks from release and list goes on, lots of games went into a fast price drops this year

but im no surprised...it looked fun but no way in hell im paying 60 dollars for it hell even killzone 3 was a stretch. but that was because i was fps hungry after cod was dissapointment

I see people saying it had no replay value but didn't it have multiplayer? :trollface: ahaha and people say multiplayer give all FPS replay value :lol:

I don't see how these companies expect a game with a five hour campaign (without NG+) and a half-assed multiplayer to do successful at full price. Sales would have probably been better had it launched at $40.

I got it for PC when it was on sale for $10, and though I did enjoy the game and replaying it, the PC version was just...bleh. Not the worst port, but the performance was very annoying at times before tweaking with the game's files.

That's kinda ironic, considering that Sony has probably made more money with Black Ops' licensing fees alone than with the entire Resistance series.

Doesn't matter if it sold only one copy. I had a blast playing Bulletsorm.

Bulletstorm was good. I beat it on PS3. I don't think it was Gears of War status by any means, but it was good. Not really sure how it sold. It didn't deserve to sell as much as Gears of War though. Gears of War is fantastic, most I can say about Bulletstorm was that the sp was short and sweet and it needed competitive mp.

Bullestorm was great fun, but I feel like it was a little held back in its potential. It had the weirdest bugs (had to restart an entire level twice) and the weapon and ammo limit worked against the goofy unrealism of the game. Other then that though (and the meh ending) the game was a blast and deserves to be played.

It sold bad for the reasons of

-Selling on the same day as Killzone 3

No replay value

Seriously, if the game didn't incluse the Gears Beta, It would have sold A LOT worse.

I though people can fly were the devs.

I actually liked that game. It was really fun. Sad it didn't sell well :(

Of course not. The only reason why anyone would have bought that game would be to play the Gears 3 Beta which was also available to those who pre-ordered Gears 3.

It's unfortunate that great games like Bulletstorm get overlooked.

Of course it did not sell, was not backed up by Microsoft, what did they expect ?

They should have made another exlusive and sell 6 million like Gears

I dunno lol. But gamespot says the campaign is six hours long though there is other stuff to do after you beat it.

no coop campaign. and no mp deathamtching. only some **** online mode.

I heard it wasn't implimented because it would have completely broke the game given the whole combo-kill system.

Which was basically why I didn't buy it, and don't ever intend on buying it. That was the one thing I thought would have been so cool to see in a game like this.

I love this game, it was so fun playing it.

So no chance for Bulletstorm 2 ;(

i'll get it when its 20 bucks, this looks like something you would play and beat and never touch it again.
