Dear Esther being shit? okay, whatever. But, they fucked up make a sequel to Amnesia, one of the better horror games in a long ass time, and I usually appreciate an experimental or unique interactive experience, Journey is quite good. But Chinese Room's shit? No, **** that.

And it being a walking sim is whatever, Gone Home is a walking game, but it had good ideas. The Unfinished Swan was half-baked, but it had moments of interesting ideas. The stuff in Machine for Pigs and Dear Esther? Grade A horse shit.

Wow, another awesome game for the PS4? I am so overwhelmed with games.

The review sounds like we have another Gone Home on our hands - it's all about FEEEELINGS. I didn't like Gone Home and I didn't like the Vanishing of Ethan Carter either. So I am just not into this type of games, I guess.

How many AAAE games do the XB1 and PS4 have? I know the XB1 has Forza 5/Ori and the PS4 has Bloodbourne/Rapture. Am I missing anything?

I hate buying all these indy games. This game might be great and all but I wouldnt spend more than $4 on it.

And I'll be honest, PSN+ also has spoiled me when it comes to all these smaller tittles. Since I've gotten like over 100 of these games from PSN+, i rarely ever feel motivated to spend money on any of these indy small tittle games, cuz im so used to just getting them for free.

I WANT to get this tomorrow.... But I'm just not sure the juice will be worth the squeeze... Going from games that value gameplay like guacamelee and geometry wars3 to this will be quite a change of pace atm. Perhaps I'll wait for a little sale.

Ori is on PC too, so not exclusive. I think it's like 1 or 2 each, max. Exclusives just aren't much of a thing anymore, even major 1st party titles are often multiplat across an "ecosystem" (PS3/4/VITA, or X360/Xbone/PC)

I love all the cries around about this great game ! Keep em coming. I hope for a PC version of this and if not ill have it in mind for PS4 ( waiting for a price cut ). but but.. PS4 has not games !lol...

The Chinese Room may have decent writers but they can't make a good game if their lives depended on it.

I was hyped for this thing till I found out was actually in it and the fact it's only a few hours long as well. Seriously why did they bother? And the review... lol... she had nothing to say at all about the game so spent the whole review bleating on about the scenery and 'feelings' then gives it a 9. Fucking 9.

Personally i love story driven / Adventure games and i dont give a crap about scores because its very based on reviewers taste. Prophecy indigo barely made it to 8 score , i had a blast. Shen mue , barely made it as AAA , i had a blast. Vanishing of Ethan Carter , barely to 8 meta , i had a blast. Should i continue ?

Heavily story driven games and most of adventures are NOT the typical games you should take reviews seriously. its UP TO YOUR taste most of the time. Someone that is not into these kind of games could score it a 5 and be on point why he did so , then someone else score the same title a 9 and be on point as well because the values of such games are such that scores depending really on personal taste than anything else.

X action game has broken gameplay mechanics , Y fps game has not responsive controls , Z fighting game has broken combo system and so forth. You hardly can deny when such mistakes occur in games , the reasons behind their low/high scores. In heavy story / adventure games , its exactly the opposite. Its how you feel the experience , if you like cinematic expreriences , what is your mood when you playing the game , if you like much blablabla , if you like Role playing or you like hard puzzles or casual ones , voice acting , direction and many different elements. Thats why in such games youll see biggest meta score differences , from both critics and users.

So , how do i know its a great game ? Because im buying it if till then i wont rent it like i usually do. Then i can ask you back , how you or anyone else that bashing it knows is not ! You see , your answer works both ways ! Personally , as i did with Ethan game , i didnt even watch what meta score was nor i read reviews , thatll be the case with this one as well. I welcome such games with open hands to have a nice break from lazers beams , dragons and machine guns.

For the life of me I cannot get into interactive story games like this one. Since the medium is still well in its infancy stage when it comes to remotely interesting storytelling (as in, being a good story on its own and not through the "for a video game" bullshit standard), my interest is slim.

Good for those who enjoy these kinds of games. But I prefer actual substance.

I don't trust this review, this developer or this game. I'm gonna keep an eye out on other reviewers, which don't seem to be as glowing about this game as this reviewer is. Unsurprisingly, this amateur left out the most vital part of the review; the story. Everything else she talked about is rubbish.

These type of games by design, have nothing but the story. Everything you do is slowly move around and piece the narrative. Because if you could run, those games would be finished in half the time The narrative is all these games have, and ultimately these games are only as good or terrible as their stories are.

Regardless, this game is gonna have as much interactivity as a Youtube video has with a pause/play button, so I'll just stick to that.

As far as the game goes, I don't care which system it's on, I just don't think it's much of a game, and I don't see why GS celebrates these non-games the way they do (like giving it an inflated score and almost always being an outlier for these types of entertainment).

Very mixed reviews on this, currently a 77 on Metacritic. From what I'm reading you're either going to love it or hate it, think I'll wait until it's on PS+ or a couple dollars during a sale.

It's not just GS. It's an indie so gets a free pass for all kinds of shit that a AAA would be crucified for. IGN are the same.
