It's possible, but they are easy to patch and fix. Lots of console games have bugs on them as well. I've not had any trouble with games I play on my PC. Guild wars 2 still runs like a charm.

IGN has already reviewed it and gave it a high score.
Can be said about every game ever made xD
I'll give their review a read
Oh, I know that struggle. it's a tough one
Aye, why do I keep buying games when there are still so many left unplayed.
Im playing Cities Skyline on my main screen while posting on these forums on my second monitor........Sucks to be a PC gamer :D
We get to troll post and game at the same time!
That's the spirit !
I really want to buy Cities Skylines (ignoring my backlog), how is it ?
At the risk of sounding fanboyish, It's what i have been waiting years for, finally a proper city builder,it's a bit light on content and variation in buildings but not suprising from only a team of only 13 people, thats soon will not be a problem as the workshop is already filling up with user made content and workshop is integrated right into the in game main menu, as for the actual mechanics of the game it really takes the best from Sim City 2013 with the colored overlays to help you easily plan stuff and the road building and zoning and it also has plenty of more in depth micromanagement if you want that, as well as the ability to zone cities off into specialized districts.
I have not played much but i'm loving it so far,the only downsides i se is the lack of a day night cycle and no natural disasters, but im sure someone will mod them in unless the devs add it later.
Oh and it actually has great performance and i have not run into any bugs yet......This thread, really pointing out some truths here :D
Another great performing non buggy PC game to add to the list of bad performing buggy PC games :(

Thanks for your insight.
I saw that over 60.000 people were playing this on steam simultaneously... on launch day. So you are definitely not alone in missing the city building genre. (I miss it too). EA messed up with Simcity and they messed up even harder with closing Maxis.
Anyway yeah, Simcity did have a very nice overlay system. Beneath all the bad things EA forced onto Maxis there was still the blueprints of a great city builder. So I'm glad to hear Colossal Order did something really nice with that.
I've also seen that the workshop looks very promising indeed. But a day and night cycle and disasters is definitely something the developers could add in a later patch. But the way things are going I can see this game getting a lot more content over time.
Will probably buy. I mean the price is just way too tempting :p
Games have shipped broken on PC for a LONG time. Hence the need to go and get updates for them manually. Only difference is now the client you're using does it for you instead of you going to Fileplanet or something to get it. PC games are a mess in general.
Fileplanet.......lol
I know. I remember those days...
A multi-billion dollar corporation has to offer driver support for the $500 cards their customers buy. Hard knock life.
---
Going back to the late 90s and comparing the consumer experience with drivers and games on PC, it's almost seamless now comparatively. I have AMD right now, so I use evolved app with "omega" driver. I've been able to successfully launch and play every game in the library with no more than 2 min of effort on older titles.
So then I am thankful for the hard work that both companies put into the driver experience. Everything runs great.
btw, can people atleast list the amount of broken games released on PC last year, incomparison to great ones?
Good pc versions:
Bad pc version
Hey, look at that 20 v 8. Well, if you remove the Ubisoft games and the ones broken on consoles aswell that's 3 games.
And that's not counting games like Driveclub and Halo MCC.
Inquisition worked flawless on my pc, it just is a hardware hog and bad pcs have struggle running it.
Fallout 3 was the only game I had issues with. That's because it was made for XP and Vista while I was running Windows 7. Found a quick fix though. 30 seconds of Googling.

I thought he was one of those... I can't remember many of his threads, which goes to show how memorable they are.
What struggle?
The daily struggle to decide what games you'll play as there is just so much to play on PC.
Oh, I know that struggle. it's a tough one
I play Final Fantasy. It's very time consuming so it's all I play.
In general: MMO's are time consuming.
I like it though, it has weird little elf fuckers, can't tell if they are male of female.

@Gue1 is one of the most owned posters at SW.
He twists the articles words and then never returns to the thread, knowing its probably several pages of him getting butt pummeled. But these forums have a notification window and he likely read it, while in tears.
For example, he read this post. But he can't respond. Too scared.
The joys of PC gaming...
new games not working
The article is about Nvidia releasing drivers for those (somewhat) broken games. For the end user the games still work better than their console counterparts.
I feel like you've completely misunderstood the OP, then again it's not surprising that a raging fanboy like you would have difficulty with reading comprehension.

@Suppaman100 is a anti-PC troll.
He won't respond to your post. He can't post information or data, just lies.
There are no real anti-PC people left. PC is just too good.

The joys of PC gaming ... games get fixed.
The joys of console gaming ... new games not working and don't get fixed.
I was under the impression that both get patches when and where they are needed for consoles and PCs.
Out of curiosity what console games never received a patch for something that really needed one? I'm not saying you are wrong I just can't think of any.
Ummm recently how about MCC and Driveclub taking months and months and still not properly working?
Off the top of my head, before that a biggie was Skyrim on the PS3. If I sat and thought about it long enough pretty sure I could come up with a huge list.
Omfg, dude...I still have nightmares about Skyrim on PS3. I only had a PS3 during that time, and that was the copy I attempted to play. That shit is still broken to this very day.
Get a real gaming PC and you won't struggle
Unless it's a flight simulator, a Capcom game, an Ubisoft game, a Crytek game, an EA game, a creative assembly game, a warn bros game e.t.c...
Poop.

Atleast back then you could patch PC games, console games that were released broken back then usually stayed broken.
Don't play flight simulators. Don't play Capcom games. Assassin's Creed 2, 3, and 4 play fine. I didn't get Unity for the PC. Dragon Age: Inquisition runs fine for me. Shadows of Mordor works great for me too.
No struggle

Honestly the most blatant "broken" release I experienced was Homeworld Remastered.. And the hilarious thing is how much "praise" that it is getting with the amount of flat out broken things in that release..

Actually aside from Dead Rising 3 (being capped at 30 fps) and the usage of windows live (which is being removed), Capcom ports ran great from every one I played.
I'm sure it can be a headache to optimize and make sure drivers work with new games for those in that line of work, but I honestly can't say I've had many issues with PC games.
The vast majority of games work perfectly on my PC. I can't say the same for my PS4. Games like Thief, AC Unity and Alien Isolation run like crap on PS4 and there's nothing you can do about it. They have framerate/frame pacing issues and it feels pretty terrible to me. These same games run fine for me on PC. Thief and Alien Isolation run perfect at very high framerates, while AC Unity is quite demanding and the framerate averages a lot lower, but still runs smoothly for me on my gsync monitor.
What a silly thread. The funniest thing is that even a broken launch game such as AC Unity runs better on PC than it ever could on console.

What's wrong with flight sims? Aerofly FS, FSX, DCS: Black Shark, X-Plane 9, and IL-2: Cliffs Of Dover all run okay here.
The only problem I've had with my EA games so far was with Mass Effect being sluggish (previously locked at 60 fps) all of a sudden when I had to re-download it after a clean migration from Win 7 to Win 8.1.
Fixed it in a few seconds.
I literally can't remember the last time I struggled to do anything on a PC.
What struggle?
This guy needs to stop posting. I doubt if he even has a gaming PC. Only a braindead can't run a pc.
Lol, what's up with so many anti PC threads these days? It's so funny. BTW, I want more broken games that run at better graphics, frame rates and resolution.
PC games in general work fine at release, the problem is stupid people.
Stupid people don't meet the minimum hardware requirements and complain that the game is unoptimized or won't start, they also make it take a week to get their hardware specs out of them just to figure this out. Most people are not actually PC gamers, they're a bunch of idiotic console hipsters who bought a PC or slapped one together and now think they're PC gamers just because they jumped on the bandwagon. These people don't know shit about their system or how it operates, they don't know how to properly maintain it or their file systems, installing drivers is a yearly occurrence or not at all, they let software versions pile up instead of removing and reinstalling and they allow their system to get overrun by malware.
I haven't had a problem running any new game or had performance issues since Rage came out, and even then it simply needed a driver hotfix which was released a day after the game released. These ignorant fools come to this platform in a position of zero knowledge or experience, act like they're one of us and then when that lack of knowledge and experience rears its ugly head they blame it on the games and the PC platform, they're fucking cancer...
tl;dr I'm sick of hipster idiots making my platform look bad simply because they're hipster idiots and don't know shit about the PC.
Bad pc version
All of these games have run fine on my PC since day one.
This is why I gave up on pc gaming. Aside from a racist community of dota players, the games don't work.
Since buying my wii life has been significantly better. My nephew (who is 7) currently is not racist. Nor does he shout profanities about my mother when we play Mario Kart 8.
All in all, it's difficult to have any sympathy for pc gamers, perhaps if they presented themselfs as better people, I would care. But, it's basically horrible people screwing horrible people
In the end, the casual people playing wii games, living life and sharing positive experiences win.
Hiding behind the long list of pros for PC gaming to fall back on when discussing system wars topics is nothing new. Especially for a Nintendo kid.
How many pc exclusives are as socially rewarding or have the same metacritic score as super smash bro's, Mario Kart 8 or Legends Of Zelda?
Exactly.
When pc games are actually sociable, it is toxic and a bad experience. Nintendo games promote humility and fun. For children of innocence.
Then an asshole deletes all his characters over PS Share and the kid losses his innocence with the toxic console social experience.

Also, it's funny that TC calls out the PC when console games are being released in a severely unfinished state now.

I just thought Watch Dogs was gimped so console gamers didn't feel bad their brand new consoles weren't performing as well day one. Didn't know it was particularly broken.

I agree with this so much. I'm glad somebody said it.
lol, classic hermit responses. Quality of PC games get criticized. Then the mandatory "I've had no problems" response follows.
I think most hermits on this forum won't admit there's a problem unless they've experienced more than 10 crashes in a day. Either that, or they actually enjoy the troubleshooting part - reading up forums, googling up solutions, editing command files and such. Because I don't.

Like the majority of Ubisoft PC ports it ran like shit and had gimped graphical settings to boot. Still does but after a few patches and community patches it's better.

Should i say i have problems for your convenience when i have none?
I know using a pc properly must look like rocket science to ignorant consolites but the rest of the world can handle it.
@kalipekona: @HalcyonScarlet: @nyadc: @jun_aka_pekto: I'm speaking from what i've read in performance analysis from Dark Side of Gaming, SW threads, Reddit, Neogaf threads, etc.
As always, a pc version might be extremely well optimized, but some users will find constant bugs and crashing issues. The nature of the platform.
I've only read issues releated to WD, DR3, AC Unity, DA I and FF13.
TWE, i read alot about bugs, plus the whole "you can't get a stable 60fps", black bars, etc. Sure, they've been modded out but i was speaking in terms of launch.
FC4 for me had alot of stuttering caused by a reported issue with terrible multithreading and i had to do some fixing with mouse acceleration.
But awesome you guys didn't have problems-
