You cant of actualy read my post, I recognized they have some good major titles but what im saying is what about after there released becuase the majority are getting released pretty close together

After there released? Oh well duh, Nintendo is going to stop making games, didn't you hear? There going to sell off their IP's one by one, you know, IP's like Starfox, Pikmin, F-Zero, all the new stuff with Monolith Soft.

I thought you knew?

rite i gotcha nm is happening

Nope, not much at all. I think it was Miyamoto who said it at E3 when asked what's next for Nintendo. He said, "We're done. Unlike past years where we used to release a detailed list of every title in the work for the next two years, this year we decided not to because we're done, we're out. Wii Fit is it, and then we're closing the doors. I thought you knew?"

Your thread was simply not though out well enough, so quit while your ahead.

It's lose if you do, lose if you don't for Nintendo. If Nintendo wasn't releasing a Metroid, Smash, Mario, and Mario Kart game all bunched so close together, the crying would be where are the games Nintendo? For once Nintendo fans are rewarded with a lot of great games so close together, I can't wait to see what Nintendo has for next year.

My god the cry-babies are out today.

I defy anyone to tell me what Nintendo is doing this gen that they did not do with the N64 and Gamecube to "ignore" the hardcore?

We are getting more hardcore games in one Fall period than we ever did, and top production, AAA games. Never during the N64 and Gamecube era did Mario release a great Metroid, Mario, and Smash game is a five-month period.

And that's on top of games like Batallion Wars II online, Strikers online, Fire Emblem, etc.

All these so-called "ex Nintendo fans" obviously were never Nintendo fans, because they obviously don't remember the droughts of those systems. Nintendo has just managed to maintain their hardcore fanbase AND casusals. It's quite a feat, but in System Wars it mean unexpected success XBOX and Sony fanboys never saw coming. So now they whine and cry that Nintendo is killing gaming.

-Despacio-

I dont think nintendo is killing gaming what can I say, I did'nt think much of TP but did I have too or does that make me anti nintendo. Im not saying I now hate nintendo just that my 360 is gonna get all the attention and only go back to my wii for the major nintendo titles such as brawl and galaxy. Seriously where do you people get this crap from just because im dissapointed I must be the same people saying nintendo is killing gaming. Besides I admit I was never a big nintendo console fan more a bignintendo handheld fan.

Fair enough I can see I left a few holes open now but I just feel this years E3 was'nt as good as last. I mean I wish they had demonstrated a game rather than wii fit. Like last year TP was easy to be hyped for so maybe a demonstration of brawl or one of the bigger titles would of been better hype wise.

My friend when hasn't a Nintendo console from the N64 on been about just playing the major Nintendo titles. That's always been their problem. Why are you suddenly expecting more? Just what are you expecting?

Like I said, for Nintendo to actually release three major IP's in such a short period is downright amazing for Nintendo. With Mario Kart Wii that makes 4 IP's close together. I lived through the N64 and GC era, I don't remember so many IP's so close together.

And while there doing this there welcoming casuals to gaming. It's quite a feat if you think about it. All this and the DS?

Nintendo is smoking right now.

(And I admit, my 360 will also still be getting the most play time this fall anyways as well, but I'm extremely excited about what Nintendo is releasing this fall.)

Ok after there E3 press conference I've given up on them, I mean come on there so called biggest announcement was wii fit. Yes im sure that balance board could be cool in future wii games but the point is wii fit isnot a game (Its a creative work out program thats a bit more flashy then some book or dvd).Imean as far as real games go mariokart was the only new announcement (which will probably gd but meh) and you sheep are gonna tell me that wii fit and mario kartwas enough to tide you over. I mean most people have said that this years E3 was'nt all that greatand are they ever right.I mean the releases are gonna come all out in the same period and after this E3 what have nintendo left you to look forward too not much. I mean nintendo dont make big announcements often and if wii fit was the biggest thing they had to show at E3 then my expectations are pretty low for whats to come after the release of all the big titles we already know about. Oh yeah and the only confirmation of release dates were for america and canada (I admit I get tired of that and nintendo are one of the main offendors for it) but I guess I should be use to that by now.

Though I still back the DS as the best handheld of this gen, but my expectations for the wii and future nintendo home consoles are pretty low.

Hey, I know exactly where you're coming from. I have the same problem. I mean, the canceled Project H.A.M.M.E.R. for Wii Fit!? However, I still remain a patient optomisit (I'm a Nintendo fan, I have to) and I still have faith in them, and though they may not be fixed on the core gamer anymore, I'm sure they'll give us a reason to keep our Wii's. When, I don't know.

What I was hoping for well any game that was different and interesting for some people that was wii fit but to be honest if they had shown flow for the wii or some real coverage on wii music I would have been happy. Is that so unreasonable?

Optimism is why I hold faith for the DS. I dont think I'll ever give up on the nintendo handheld's there just too gd at making them. But TP was a big blow for me.

FFS you moron, dont just decide that because I mentioned wii fit its myonly reason. Plus itI mentioned it because I do not feel it was center stage material and that the time they spent promoting ti could have been used to show us more of brawl or something.

It's not like Nintendo is making only fitness titles, plus Wii Fit has a major chance at expanding the audience and making games useful in hospitals for rehab; what's so wrong with that? There are still those "real" titles you want in development, and more will be announced in the future. So don't worry, there are still games for the core audience on the way, you just have to read a few articles to see that.

The Wii Balance Board can prove useful in making surfing and snowboarding games more immersive, so why not show off the new hardware? It can give developers ideas, although its current use is for Wii Fit.

Absolutely man, the wii balance board is a kl idea and may be really fun if used in future games. And its not like I dont think wii fit does'nt have a place in the market, even if i dont like it im in no doubt that it will sell well. But last year we got a TP demonstration this year we get a wii fit one. I think they could have announced wii fit but then do a brawl demo then it would have at least matched last years press conference.

Is anyone really surprised about this. This has been Nintendo's act ever since the introduction of the N64. Good first party games while third partys get left out of the lineup.

What is suprising is that gamers continue to support them and buy into their gimmicks and garbage.

Honestly... I like the WiiFit.

BUT, showing us acircular piece of plastic the "Wii Wheel", and the "Wii Zapper", yet ANOTHER plastic housing for the wii-mote... that was sort of chuckle worthy to me.

sure, nintendo's press conference was pretty bad this year. but you're giving up on them even though the other 2 weren't great either? THe wii still has great games to come out, and not just mini games. Giving up faith in them over a press conference is stupid

How did you endure the stupidity of E 3 2003 ...

Seriously.. Wii Fit looks like it is going to sell tons.. In the recent years Nintendo made announcements like Pac Man VS. BIGGEST GAME ON GC!!!!

compared to that ill go with Wii Fit and its selling power 24/7 rather then sticking to a meh game that will sell 0 copies...

At least you can expect that the userbase will grow and more games will be developed on it.. even if you hate Wii fit

(for your information i love the Idea of Wii Fit and using your feet for gaming)

farnham

So if it sells alot it must be a great game........right:|

Is anyone really surprised about this. This has been Nintendo's act ever since the introduction of the N64. Good first party games while third partys get left out of the lineup.

What is suprising is that gamers continue to support them and buy into their gimmicks and garbage.

First someone better look up the definition of 2nd party and 3rd party. And you included Paperboy 64, harvest moon 64, and left off RE4. You obviously have very low expectations of what great is. Great would be MGS, GTA, Madden, RE series. Please go back to the drawing board.

*sigh* even if you dont agree with all the listed games there thats just personal opinion, you cant ask a question like that and say it does'nt count because you dont like the game. Besides there is more then enough games there to prove a point.

that depends really on how you judge your games. Even if halo 3 was'nt that great it would still sell well but here you have the offer off the wii balance board now if this is used in other games and is not sold seperately if the other game it was getting used in was gd this would increase wii fit sales dramitically I would imagine.

Wrong half the games listed are 2nd party not 3rd party games. I said great 3rd party games, know the difference.

fine list the ones that are 2nd part and I'll try and replace them with third

I was under the impression that E3 was the biggest gaming event of the year. Now if you don't see at least something good from your prefered company, that just shows they haven't got anything to show, and at E3, thats quite serious. Look what Sony did after E3 06; nothing good thats for sure, but this E3 is a sign of at least better to come.

I'm really not trying to bash Nintendo. I'm very interested in their lineup. But taking time out of the conference to show us plastic attachments for the wiimote made me groan.

Nintendo is insulting their fans with Wii Fit. Theyre basically saying 'we know youre a fat out of shape slob so were here to help you.' Nintendo should have a contest on Wii Fits launch day. The 10 fattest people get Wii Fit for free. :)

You're insulting me, bywasting my time with this inflammatory crap. If I EVER needed someone to act as interpreter to tell me what Nintendo is "basically saying", you wouldn't be high on the list, Carmilla.

How can you like the DS if Nintendo has stated the Wii is inspired by the success of the DS. If you waited this long for the great games to come ot the DS, you can wait a little longer for the big games on the Wii (personally, I think they will be here by the end of this year).

Well its simple while the psp is easily beaten by the DS game wise, I would have no reason not to hold out as Ive always believed nintendo was the best for handhelds but with the wii it does have strong competitors and they seem a whole lot appealing ritenow. I will play the big games on the wii coming out towards the end of this year (and brawl because I think thats a 2008 release) but after that unless they release a particulay good game I dont think Ill be playing my wii much after that most likely Ill just see what microsoft has to offer for a while.
